Option on sold listings to ‘send payment details’ has disappeared and I’m unable to send people invoices for combined orders like I normally do. I did a live chat with customer service, but I don’t really think they knew what I was talking about.
I have buyers waiting to pay, but are reluctant to pay for the entire postage cost in one go and have me refund due to the amount of money they would have in limbo.
anybody else having the same problem? Anyone at eBay able to confirm it’s being looked into so I can tell my buyers?

Yes, I remember that being talked about early doors after BPF started but with the terms and conditions update including the bit about circumventing BPF fees, if they continued that was incredibly stupid.
Mandatory Simple Delivery kills that anyway, but still stupid.

It's obvious that they're just trying to come up with new ways to fleece buyer and seller. I'm sure combining postage eats into their percentage costs . It's so annoying, it undermines the trust between buyer and seller, causes delays and alot of buyers are paying over the odds for postage.

has this been fixed yet? i had to spend hours refunding a lot of buyers for their combined postage totals - it really is becoming unbearable to sell on ebay....

Still no resolution to this issue - fortunately I have a couple of regular buyers who know of this and are aware, so have been ok to pay full postage amounts and receive a refund on the excess postage, but still can’t believe this is an accepted workaround given by Ebay, it involves a lot of trust in the seller from the buyer, and any new buyers may be put off!
Also the added BPF (buyer protection fee) seems to be an added ‘penalty’ for being a private seller now, especially as buyers already have the same original protection on their purchases - just revert back to a seller fee it was much more accepted.
And looking at the new ‘special delivery’ option (which again is something new levied at private sellers only!) it looks like a solution to a problem that wasn’t there in the first place - i’ve asked the question to customer services if you can do combined postage through the new simple delivery and have been met with stoney silence unsurprisingly!
What have private sellers done to deserve this kind of treatment Ebay, its like they don’t want us stinking up the place anymore with our so called ‘side hustles’ 😡

There *wasn't* a problem there in the first place, but there is now. The BPF.
The BPF is charged on the price of the item, not the postage. So ebay have to think of a way to stop private sellers doing the old 'item price low- postage price high' trick.
(this was pretty common back in the day when the old fees were charged on the item and not the postage. Ebay got around this by charging fees on the whole lot and encouraging sellers to do 'free" (inclusive) postage)
Also, ebay are looking for new avenues to make up for the profits lost on the removal of private sellers fees. So along with the BPF and 'payment holds', ebay will be making more money from the contracts they now have with the delivery companies.

I want to combine postage so my buyers are not over paying Buyers Protection. They do not need to be paying this.

Yes, me too. It's a pain in the neck!
