With all these new changes that have been thrust upon us I'm curious as to how many have / will leave the platform before the end of the current tax year (April 5th).
Used to be so simple, buyer uses PayPal, payment available immediately but then we had 'Managed Payments' which took 24 hours to process the sale & now you're being forced to send the smallest of sales via a tracked delivery service & when offering free UK postage it's become pointless with smaller valued items.
Would love to know how many have or intend to leave & what's the turning point before eBay 'Back Peddle' & revert to previous ways to recoup lost sellers.

I've not decided to leave, but I did decide that there was no way in hell I was going to play Guinea Pig for their new rollout. So I stopped all my listings on 4th February.
Since then I've been here, watching and learning to see what's happening.
In truth my line in the sand was never the BPF or even delayed payments. For me it's Simple Delivery. If they try to make that mandatory then I will not sell a single item on eBay for as long as it is active. Which means I won't be buying as much here either.
I honestly don't care about the tax year part.
As for when eBay "back peddle", if they have analysts studying sales data they should already be thinking about it now. In the markets I follow auctions are crashing and if that continues it will cause issues for BIN sellers with readily available items. If the buyers know auctions for "X" are finishing at £10, why are they going to pay £20 for a BIN?
So the BIN sellers have a choice, drop their prices or leave the platform and sell elsewhere. I'm fairly certain most will end up choosing the latter.
It may already be too late to get things back to the way they were before February 4th, so it's probably all about damage limitation now.

Although i dont like the changes i can live with them. I probably will not bother selling anymore once we have to use simple delivery though.

I have joined another platform to sell on ,and I rarely buy on here ,simple delivery will be the end for us as we don't have printers or smart phones ,and despite what ebay say about paying out our funds 2 days after delivery confirmed by courier ebays system isn't in sinc with royal mail and doesn't even acknowledge that the item has been dispatched and yet the buyer has received it ,they then tell me that their system shows I have had late dispatch times and late delivery and have marked my account in accordance .There has been so many glitches on ebay recently it is not a pleasure to be on .

I ended all my listings that I had left on the 3rd Feb this year, probably just over 30 & have not sold anything on here since. I had decided to do that when all these changes were announced & am glad that I stuck to it. Despite selling mine & my wife's things from around our home for over 20 years I am not happy with what's happening on here & the demonisation of genuine private sellers like myself who sell relatively low value items (most of the time) with the occasional one a bit more than usual depending on what it is. There's not much point any more. I will use local selling sites that really are free & buyers collect from my home to get rid of the rest. I'm just sat here waiting now to see if eBay will change anything & if so then I will return. If they got rid of Simple Delivery (or go back on when they are making it mandatory at some point this year) & get rid of this stupid BPF & the crazy holds on paying out our money when their system does not match up with tracking services of the companies used to deliver our items that is. eBay tracking linking up with RM or other couriers has always been bad, but I honestly feel they are doing this on purpose to hold onto our payments for even longer to get even more interest out of them. Why would it get worse otherwise? It has to be deliberate as it's too much of a coincidence. Managed Payments was a bit annoying but it didn't bother me that much as I'm not a business & could wait 24 hours to get the money so I can pay it into my bank account. But what they are doing now is just ridiculous. Everyone does the correct thing then eBay STILL hold onto your money & their tracking doesn't update. I've seen it from so many PS's on here. Also, I've barely bought anything on here since I stopped selling as the money would go to these things. To business sellers mostly for what I need to buy. I'm sure I'm not the only person who is now not able to purchase what I used to purchase on here. Big mistake eBay. You've forgotten who made your company what it is today.

If Simple Delivery is compulsory that will be the end of selling items on my private account for me.
So weird that something starts off so simple and good and then morphs into something so completely different.
