Ebay requests

Hello community.

Received a messge from ebay stating MC011 and requests.

The message reauires me to do the following:

Upload the following information:
-- A copy of your driver's license or other government-issued ID (front and back).
-- A copy of a recent credit card statement, bank statement, or utility bill. Your name and billing address should be visible and consistent with your eBay account registration information.
-- Documentation (including manufacturer's invoices or receipts) showing that you purchased the item(s) recently listed for sale on eBay.

Hence i am doing dropshipping and never seen the items with my eyes or ownes them, everything is mostly done automatically done via AutoDS tool, all orders are made directly on the name of the buyer and it will be impossible to provide them orders on my name.

I can provide all of them order details informations hence they are simply order made automatically via the tool and i can have them details from the supplier from where the items are shipped to buyers (aliexpress, amazon, some other online shops).

Can anyone explain more and provide some steps, never been in this situation and want to resolve this quick  as i am have a trusted online shop on ebay.

Regards in advance

Dropshipping is allowed but you will need to speak to ebay and see how you can give them the information that will allow you to trade in this way.

But retail arbitrage is not:

"However, listing an item on eBay and then purchasing the item from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to your customer is not allowed on eBay."

As far as I can tell that is exactly what AutoDS does unless the OP knows different.

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

Ah, thank you for that.  I was misled by the OP saying they dropshipped.

Re: Ebay requests

So to understand better, what i am allowed to do?

Do i need to purchase the items, have them with me and then sell them on ebay?

Most of the sellers does not have thousands to invest into having the items first and then wait to see if they sell or not.

Most of seller are probably same as me, trying to get some slightly more income into monthly budget.

I do have items which arrives to me first and sttaight away they are sent to buyers. but again i only see the items arriving and same hour they are posted again to buyers.

How can i sort this out please?

Re: Ebay requests

I would disagree that most sellers do the same as you and send items from someone else and cut themselves out of the supply chain. Having the items you sell is the best way of representing them properly in listings and ensuring their quality to avoid negative feedback and experience for customers etc.

In your case if eBay is asking you for this information they are suspicious of something and you will have to provide it as they will not just let it slide.

Re: Ebay requests

Honestly by the look of your feedback, you have more problems than the MC011

What I see....

You are dropshipping... Thats fine and all, however...

Feedback says they are coming from china and I noticed some are shows you are selling CPU's.

You have just said you dont see the product or touch it...

Honestly, the first thing that pops into my head is... are these genuine CPU's or lower quality chips changed to be good fakes.  If they are fake, your risking a lot more if the CPU is dodgy and blows up someones brand new custom PC build. You are registered as a business which is good, but there is a lot of liabaility if the above happens and I assume you have insurance.

Dont get me wrong, I am not having a go, just something for you to think about.

If you are going down this route of dropshipping. I would look more closely at your sources. Because how can you trust the quality of these items and that every single product that is shipped accuratly match the description if you have never seen them and they dont come the from the OEM supplier.

I dont much about dropshipping etc.. But I am just wondering if you might have better luck talking on a dedicated retail arbitrage or dropshipper forum or maybe reddit.

Re: Ebay requests

Yes I did notice that as well, didn't want to say.

I looked into dropshipping using the tool he mentions before starting up and decided against it. A lot of dodgy areas and leave yourself open to bad experiences for customers you're totally at the mercy of third party suppliers.

Re: Ebay requests

Probably this happens with mine, hence some of the items are located in CH, USA or EU.

I will try to see what i can sort for now, and will remove and relist or rething the selling items location.

Dropshipping means you have a pre-existing (commercial) agreement with a manufacturer, wholesaler, distributer etc. You don't stock the goods yourself but when you get a sale you send the dropshipper your customer's details and the dropshipper - under the agreement you have with them - sends the goods directly to your customer. The dropshipper invoices you for the goods they sent and you invoice your customer.

What you're doing is slightly different. You don't have a pre-existing agreement with the marketplace sellers your goods are being sourced from. As far as the other marketplace's seller is concerned their customer is your buyer, not yourself. eBay really doesn't like this because you have no control over where the goods are being sent from and your buyer will likely receive a paper receipt, invoice or compliment slip with their order showing they could have purchased the item cheaper if they had purchased directly from the seller you purchased from - via a rival marketplace - instead of from yourself via eBay.

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

Given that they no longer have any listings up and running I'd say not.

If eBay are asking you for the same kind of documentation then you need to supply it as soon as possible.

Re: Ebay requests

They were probably asking for all that info from OP due to their terrible feedback, dropshipping items from China while having their location set as UK (according to customers feedback) and with feedback that poor they no doubt fell below standard on the seller level. If they are asking for information they will most probably stop you from selling if you don't supply it so I would just do it
