OK so I've lost 3 sales over the last few weeks due to ebay having deducted the BPF from offers received, reducing the offers to below my auto decline threshold.
Selling on Ebay has always been a fun hobby for me so the drop in sales isn't really any more than a mild irritation, although it's certainly no longer fun.
In spite of protestations from ebay and certain ebay supporters (or ebay employees depending how honest one is being) on this platform, what ever way you spin it this is ebay applying a fee to sellers. Basically ebay doesn't care who pays the fees as long as someone does and if it happens to be sellers well then so be it. As someone who's been on Ebay for in excess of 20 years with a couple of accounts, it's a commonly held fact that they treat sellers like *bleep* and always have done, of which this is another example...'a bit galling though in the light of Ebays 'sell for free on Ebay' which they appear to be persistently peddling. If ebay wish to apply selling fees again than they're more than entitled to do it but this the most recent in a long list of policy changes which they've attempted to apply, which they simply end up Half Arsing and confusing folk by trying to do it on the cheap.
