Buyer claimed parcel hasn't arrived, although got photo proof of delivery

As titled, I have never had this issue. He or she seems to text very directly like 'Find my parcel, where is it?' Etc,,

I have tracking and there is proof of delivery along with picture. He or she that when I showed the screenshot is not them

I don't know what to do, or how to contact eBay on this matter

Firstly.Make sure you have added tracking number against the item on your sold page.

Then, ask the buyer to open a non receipt claim.

If you can prove delivery to the address given by Ebay you should win.

I say "should" because nothing is guaranteed any more.

If the Courier's Screen shot is showing a front door have a look on Streetview UK of the address you sent the item to, see if they are the same.

I had to do this & sent both screen shots (which were the same) to the eBay's open case & eBay closed the case in my favour straight away.

Make sure you have added tracking to the listing BEFORE the buyer opens a case

If you do this, you will win the case

Buyers often think that because they don't sign for items that you don't have proof of delivery.....

In addition to the advice that has already been given, if you have not already done so by the time you read this reply make sure that you add the buyer's User ID to your Blocked Bidders List so that he/she cannot purchase anything else from you in the future and cause you any further aggravation.

Buyer claimed parcel hasn't arrived, although got photo proof of delivery

Sometimes Tracking can be a bit of a worry,

Only last week i got a buyer say,There item was showing as delivered but had not been,

When i checked the Royal Mail Tracking it did indeed show as delivered but the photo was of what i believe was a delivery office trolly with a barcode sticker on it.

Anyway there was another line underneath saying out for delivery 25/05/24.

I let the buyer know this and later that day it was indeed delivered.

A completley differant picture was uploaded which showed the box i had sent and a lady holding it with one hand over her eyes 😀.

Of course had a case been opened even with the strange photo i would have won as a delivered scan is good enough for most Ebay sales.

It just reminded me that although most things work themselves out not everything is what it seems.

That is a good tip about checking street view, I bought a tshirt for my brothers birthday present earlier this year (not from EBay) and I got a tracking number, It was only after about a week and a half later that I thought I should have received it by now I thought of checking the tracking. When I looked on the Royal Mail site it said delivered and showed a photo of it being put through the letterbox, the only trouble was that it wasn't my front door in the photo. I used google street view to examine the  front doors down my street and managed to work out what house it was delivered to, which was 5 houses away from me, I then managed to get it back from the neighbour.

Buyer claimed parcel hasn't arrived, although got photo proof of delivery

I've had a parcel from Amazon this weekend. It's got my address on it's just not a name i recognise.

So what do I do will be almost impossible to find the person named as ther is no last name, just first name.

My point is this does happen even with the Mighty Amazon delivery service.

Feel sorry for the buyer i'ts a cat flap all i keep thinkings is I hope the cat looks before trying to get through the door.!!

What i have concluded is it one of my neighbours trying to get free stuff,  although the guy that claims its his can't seem to supply any evidence he's the one named on the order or even a copy of the order.

Or possibly a brushing attempt.

Christmas cards & gifts I've sent via various tracked Royal Mail services are starting to arrive. A couple of the photo proofs of delivery show only the parcel and its address but you can barely see anything at the photo margins. So it could be any front door, anywhere; might not even be a front door!

I wonder if this is a deliberate trend thought up officially or unofficially, designed to prevent people querying problem deliveries? i.e. if you can't identify the property you can't do anything. This morning I looked up a proof of posting and, apart from tiny fractions taken up by someone's thumb tip and  a piece of metal that could be anything, the photo is filled entirely by the front of the parcel, the address and the post office-printed postage.

As long as the Courier / or Ebay records are stating delivered, then any eBay cases for 'not arrived' will be closed in the Sellers favour.

If RM48/24 Tracked is used, the Courier's delivery records show a photo and a map with GPS (arrow pointing to the property delivered to).

A bad delivery photo depends on the delivery driver photo taking skills, whether it is on purpose or not, who knows.

Ensure tracking was uploaded against the item, ask the buyer to open a item not received case.

eBay will ask you for proof which is the tracking and you "should" win the case.

eBay will most likely reimburse the buyer from their own funds if they are not a repeat offender.

If you get negative feedback from this eBay "should" get this removed for you.

"should" as eBay is never 100%

This photo thing (nothing visible but the parcel, its address and p.o.-printed postage) was brought up in a post office queue today (I didn't start it). Someone said they'd noticed it, someone else thought they had too.

And hubby said he'd been noticing it several times lately - and he hadn't told me! He was once a postman so perhaps didn't want to "get me started" 🙂
