I'm currently at below standard level as I sold so little at the time that 3 transaction defects pulled me under. My fault entirely, no excuses here.
I'm trying to get my backside in gear and start back selling on Ebay after a 3 month absence. I can't see any restrictions stopping me listing anything at all but sales will be very very slow at the start so it will take a while to get back up to standard.
So my question is, is there any point in listing things? I've had the automatic warning emails every month for the past 3 months, I don't want to spend time putting a load of things on for sale only for my account to be deactivated because I haven't managed to get enough sales to improve the rating yet.

thanks for the interest in my issue but what you are describing is a totally different senario because all items came back to me at my cost each buyer lied to ebay to return each item so they could get a free return and nothing was wrong with any of the items the buyers just assumed they would fit their vehicles it seems because i didnt roll over like a soft dog and accept each return instantly which would infact mean i was guilty as charged for selling a incorrect item of which wasnt the case at all I now have to pay the price 15 days now with no sales and because I have a ebay shop I now actually owe ebay money because my account is now in negative equity !!
its a crazy world which is getting worse !!

Been reading all your replies with great interest, thanks to everyone who responded.
I didn't get the chance to list on here before Christmas but I'm delighted and relieved so say it's naturally managed to go back to above standard all by itself and restrictions have been lifted.
I'm totally at fault for letting it get that way in first place, I spread myself too thinly but I've learned my lesson and when I come back on I won't let it get to that stage again.

Absolute disgrace this platform , applying this absolute pathetic excuse of a seller rating to exploit sellers out of more money is disgusting , 1 negative feedback in over 12 months that feedback was because buyer never understood VAT... and ebay have put me on a low performance doubled my final value fee's for cancelling orders that were out of stock, and I told every single customer a lot of them were happy to wait for the stock as the main company did not have any stock either, This is absolute profit couging !!! EBAY ARE AN ABSOLUTE MESS LETTING SELLERS SELL COUNTERFEIT ITEMS LEFT RIGHT AND CENTRE WITHOUT ANY ACTION TAKEN AND THEY DO THIS KIND OF THING TO REAL REGISTERED SELLERS OF REAL PRODUCTS IS A BLOODY DISGRACE THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEM SELVES TRADING STANDARDS WHERE ARE YOU ?

My seller feedback is impeccable all things considered , this is about the double final value fees they place on your account which can take years to remove ? What don't you understand about this ? Ebay are literally catching court cases about this and they deserve to ! I'm joining this legal action this is absolute nonsense and should be illegal business practices !!!

I don't understand the shouty response to me regarding a post I replied to 4 months ago.
The poster who I responded to did not make any mention of double final value fees.
It seems to me that you are cross with Ebay - maybe save your vitriol and triple exclamation marks for them.

I was just joining in the conversation ! I have saved a lot of stuff for ebay trust me, you were talking about this as if its only to do with seller feedback rating in your comment so I was trying to make you aware of the real issue here ! Thanks

It was not an issue mentioned by the original poster - the creator of this post who I responded to in October.

@1956glyn wrote:Yes your rating is currently 80% BUT saying that ......you should soon be back to 100% because its been 12 months. From my knowledge on month 13 it should go back to 100% 🙂
Yes, the seller is back to 100%. Yet with the awful recent changes to the way feedback is displayed, the neg, despite being over a year old, is at the top of the default 'most relevant' display. It only sinks down if you bother to click on 'most recent'.
If I'd been in your shoes, not only would I have used the opportunity to reply to the neg with some factual reason behind the events that led to the neg, to reassure buyers, but also I'd be LEAVING FEEDBACK for my buyers.
You're throwing away opportunities to mitigate your problems.
