Are they now overriding private sellers postage options after an items sells?

I know that Simple Delivery is becoming compulsory but so far I have been able to option out and select my own postage options. I have been very careful in ensuring that opting out is the very last thing done before listing as eBay appear to use every opportunity to change it back to Simple Delivery. 

Yesterday I sold a couple of items and eBay appear to have changed postage to Simple Delivery and made a very half-hearted attempt to hide the buyers address until I buy a label. I have the stamps and have the buyers address so what would be the likely consequences if I post the items with my stamps and not buy their label? I can see that I don't appear to be able to mark the items as posted with buying their postage.  Will they refuse to release my funds in 14 days?

Same here my listings were changed without my permission so I'm calling it a day, I wonder if ebay actually read the discussions or read my numerous feedbacks to them. If its the future glad I'm old.

The only thing I can be bothered to do now is infrequent collection in person items, but you still need to remember to scan the buyers code on collection... you do get the money to transfer pretty quick, and ignore eBay's exhortation to keep the money in your account for other eBay purchases...!

I've just spent hours this morning and afternoon changing my seller postage settings to FREE POSTAGE and raised the item price to make up for it thinking it would make everything less hassle. 

But no. Soon after I'd finished changing my settings to FREE POSTAGE I sold an item and noticed the buyer had paid for a label.

Which means it didn't work. 

Either ebay changed it back???

A month or two ago I spent hours changing my settings back to 48 tracked. Then I noticed ebay had changed them again without me knowing. 

Yesterday I sold a rare vinyl and the buyer payed for a printed label. 

I don't carry a smart around with me cos I gotta do it the old way writing labels. 

Arrrrggghhhhhh...
