just got court by the apple scam changed my bank details to ebay to put my money into the bank, and not paypal as before and a thing came up to answer questions which i did, and then that if i clicked on the right box i won a phone so clicked a box and said id won, to post to me i pay a pund and they send the phone, then it dawned on me too good to be true, have to change backs cards and block all the cards atached, unsubscribe to them lets hope its the end of it now, everyone please dont get fooled, ... I'm trying to set up my first listing on the UK version of Ebay. I made sure to read through all the information when creating a listing to make sure I hadn't done anything wrong. I created the listing, added all the photos and the correct information ect. but when I was done and tried to get the listing to go live, there came the issue.   The site asked me to verify my details, the address was fine but it took issue with my phone number. I double and triple checked it was correct yet when I click either call me or text me, I always get the same error, "Looks like something is wrong. Make sure everything below is correct" so I went back to my account page and managed to successfuly verify my phone number there. It says that my phone number has been verified so I tried to create the listing again but to no avail.   Despite my own account page saying I have a verified phone number, Ebay still gives me that error. I tried doing it on another phone number and the US version of the website but still I get the same error. In the last day I sold an Netgear wireless internet range extender (item number 154398258200). My eBay dashboard is showing the item as sold and paid for, but, I haven't received: 1) An eBay sale confirmation email 2) A Paypal 'You've got funds' email 3) Actually received any funds from the buyer However, the buyer is showing the Paypal payment as having gone through. I'm going around and around in cicles treying to use the online automated options eBay has for resolving problems and going nowhere! They actually don't seem to have an option that fits this situation. Can't find a phone number to call eBay either and speak with an actual person to get this sorted out. Can someone at eBay help - your options for dealing with this actual problem don't exist. Also, both myself and the buyer have been in contact with Paypal and they;ve diagnosed this as a problem with/in the eBay system.  Help! ... View more

Dear All,    This is a spam alert ... I listed a camera and buyer offered to pay me througy Paypal. I got a genuine looking paypal email asking me to send the item to the address given in eBay message and send shipping tracking information to get transfer from Paypal.   This is a huge spam and lost my camera with no payment ... beware of buyers .. alerting anyone contacting you asking you to ship to Slough and payment through Paypal.   I have spoken to eBay, Paypal .... nothing can be done or help offerend ... lost money   These buyers should be blacklisted by eBay .. lost me camera to this fraud with no recovery possible ... Good afternoon all. I'm looking everywhere on eBay and not finding a way to resolve my issue for an item nearly a year old that has become faulty, with an advertised two year warranty. I bought the item (PIR floodlamp) on 31/05/20 which became faulty less than a year old, and as stated the item is still listed as having a 2 year warranty. I contacted the seller on 24/05/21 and after seeing pics they agreed to send out a replacement. I have since sent two further messages requesting an update and when I can expect it, and for the last fortnight I have had no reply and the seller is ignoring me, and has even blocked any further purchase. I have tried finding another option with eBay to step in, but it appears they are uninterested in anything more than 30 days old, and I'm struggling to find anywhere were I can just simply contact eBay to help (they don't make it easy do they). I've reported the seller to eBay, but the message after states basically thanks for contacting and you won't hear about the outcome! I just want help from eBay and for them to step in whilst a seller is in breach of a warranty.   I'm sorry if this is a repetative question, but any help or pointer would help, even if just out of principle, as eBay is meant to be a safe place for buyers.   Many thanks, Ken   ... Parcel2Go said they'd delivered the item. Simple - everyone happy? No. The buyer sent me about 12 messages, sometimes 5 in one day. First could I sent it today (Sunday), even though they hadn't paid! I held on until I could see the money in my bank. They asked for a discount because the courier cost was £10. I actually had to pay £11 in the end. I reported them to Ebay, asked them to check out their buyer history as things seemed very unusual with this buyer and they were trying to haggle after winning by bidding. Ebay were looking into it. In the meantime I was getting hassled daily by the buyer. I reported another issue. Ebay would look into it. Never did Ebay come back to me on either enquiry. So, the item arrives and thank God it was tracked. A week later, I get a message to say that they buyer has opened a payment dispute with their bank as they didn't "recognise" the transaction.....?? Really? I had to send the tracking number. Now I find that they BUYER has been reimbursed the FULL amount and gets to keep the "unrecognised" item!! If this isn't fraud, EBAY Resolution Centre, then what is? These people are working the system. There is NO-ONE to talk to on EBAY and not all topics relate to this case. I did not lose money thank God. I did get charged VAT for some reason and I am not VAT registered and haven't sold enough to need to pay Tax. Hi All, this will no dought get removed but in short EBAY if they are not in the uk under uk law or your country must have a collosal liabilty insurnace for public data! Also to what ability as if ones id is stolen so your able to sue them? Also when most of us verified our accounts those years half the people working for ebay were not any wiser to the way 10-15 years ago tbh.   Point is they must be selling your ID and google **bleep**-lytics...In some countries this request is a breach of human rights and the right to have your ID private and not in the hands of some one whom i dont trust..Paypal were investigated by my bank for allowing funds unpermitted from my account/Also ebay allowed this to happen as they washes there hands//PASS THE BUCK...and the time line waiting for money is ebay is milking the interest. ! million in GBP or the EURo into currency say elsehwere is collosal ££££. FAT cat gets Fatter than before.   We wont go into the tax evasions by paypal and ebay and they paid those under corut judgement some years ago as Luxemburg tax,s fell a little short vs what the uk % was. nice interest on it for those years.   Inshort to the matter in hand i wont be giving my ID and i shall be giving ebay the wave very soon as all who i deal with i can go direct! they had firms before ebay was ebay which may i ad!!!!
