Spam alert - people trying to buy using paypal

Dear All, 

This is a spam alert ... I listed a camera and buyer offered to pay me througy Paypal. I got a genuine looking paypal email asking me to send the item to the address given in eBay message and send shipping tracking information to get transfer from Paypal.

This is a huge spam and lost my camera with no payment ... beware of buyers .. alerting anyone contacting you asking you to ship to Slough and payment through Paypal.

I have spoken to eBay, Paypal .... nothing can be done or help offerend ... lost money

These buyers should be blacklisted by eBay .. lost me camera to this fraud with no recovery possible

You must make sure your carrier will cover you for the amount the item sells for.

The golden rule is to always log into your PayPal account and make sure that there's a payment there and it's showing as okay to send.

How did they get your email address? Did you give it to them?

There is a fraud paypal email ... I trusted Paypal and when I got suspicious I rang them and found out Paypal never sends emails ... it was too late ... I have not tracked the package to Nigeria ... lost an expensive camera

NO help from eBay or Paypal ... every is directing me to another person to call ... total shamle ... lost faith in eBay

once a seller decides to accept payment outside eBay check-out their on their own - why would a seller agree to this and send their PayPal details?

Scams need a fair bit of cooperation in order to be pulled off.
