Depsit being asked for

Hi there I have asked a seller if he would take my old car in part x for a car he has, the answer was yes he then asked for a 200 deposit paid directly into a bank account of a different company to the one listing the item he told me that as a classified listing this is ok .... I don't feel it is Can someone help

eBay don't allow deposits and in any event there's no protection for vehicles.

Never pay anything until you have fully checked out the vehicle and are ready to drive it away.
