Is GPS location valid proof of delivery equal recipient signature?

I sold item worth £500. The buyer opened INR. I have checked the tracking system and everything is in order.
There is a photo taken by ParcelForce driver where I see the parcel inside house with opened door and recipient name is the same as the buyer name.
I checked Google StreetView and they are the same door.
I have confirmed to Ebay the valid tracking number.
The buyer opened a case after few days and now Ebay require from me proof of delivery as recipient signature because value of the item was more than £450. They gave me 3 days for upload recipient signature.
The problem is that since Covid 19 the ParcelForce no longer take signature during delivery and signatuer is even not available as extra option.
Instead of that ParcelForce inform that they took a picture from the delivery palce and store GPS location of last scan (delivery place).
I wonder if I request GPS location from ParcelForce and pass it to Ebay will it be enough proof?

I am not sure if any carrier on the market offer tracking signature delivery. I know RoyalMail offer that kind of service but they do not offer shipping bigger boxes.

I'm pretty sure that Parcelforce do take signatures on delivery.  They may well be electronic in nature now, but I think that they actually do.

Have you contacted them and asked them?

Have you checked that the service you used, actually has, or hasn't a signature?

As to Ebay accepting this, I'm pretty sure that over a certain limit, you have to get a signature as proof, as well as the tracking.  If you haven't got it, then I think your going to have a problem.

But at the end of the day, if Parcelforce don't actually get a signature (though there website says they do), then you should have a different courier.

I know for a fact that some do, and some don't know.  I regularly receive multiple different parcels from different couriers and do have to sign for some of them.

The case has been opened today so I going to contact with ParcelForce tomorrow.

ParcelForce do not offer a signature and then never ask me to sign anything what they delivery to me.

They demands signature only if delivery to neighbour but if delivery is to recipient address then they take a photo of delivery place.

I have checked and all delivery services (include ParcelForce which I use) available to order through Ebay also do not offer tracked signature delivery (2 RoyalMail's which are signed delivery do not offer tracking).

Seems like Ebay demands something what is even do not offered within their own 3rd part delivery services.

If you get no signature- buyer will get full refund and you will get nothing. Thats how it is for parcels over 450£. Then your option will be Small Claims case against buyer. And compensation claim  with Parcelforce- but i do not believe that they will pay out you something- since they did the job and buyer is smart.

The screen print I posted is direct from Parcelforce's website.

So as I said, you need to give them a call and ask them about this.

If they didn't actually get a signature, then you need to raise a claim with Parcelforce as they have not complied with their own T&C's.  But even then, unless you have taken out the extra insurance, I doubt very much that you will get very far, as I'm fairly sure, that they only insure up to £150 on standard.

I have spoken with Ebay Customer Service and seems like T&C is against current courier operation way the Ebay still require recipient signature on delivery for item worth more than £450.

Since Covid 19 most couriers no longer take signature along their safety instruction and instead of that they took a photo from delivery place which clearly present that parcel has been delivered to the right address. Also most of couriers record GPS location from last scan of delivered item and provide that information on request.

I'm amazed that eBay signature policy is still in place.

I receive loads of high value deliveries to my office from all the main couriers and I have not once been asked to physically or electronically sign for a delivery since the beginning of the pandemic. This is probably over 100 deliveries. Sometimes the courier / postman has asked my name and maybe sometimes has "self-signed" my name but even them asking is rare and I haven't given my own signature for a delivery since March 2020. This includes Royal Mail Signed For, Royal Mail Special Delivery, Fedex, DHL, Parcelforce, EVRI, DPD, Yodel and probably more. These are not eBay purchases, but surely "GPS location + photo of delivery" has in practise (if not always in T&Cs) replaced the previous primative signature system.

Its not even clear why eBay had that policy prior to COVID? Delivery signatures were hopeless squiggles on a tiny pad that really proved nothing anyway?
