Impressions broken again??

Can you please check if there is another problem with impressions? Another counting glitch? These stats can not be correct. Organic impressions promoted views down to under 3000 views today at time of writing. This time last week almost 73000 views. Please help.  dave@ebay kat@ebay

Yea i have a few friends that sell threw other platforms (amazon, B&Q etc) and they all left eBay last year as they said the fees are increadably high, i have jsut checked my performance over the past 31 days and 52% of my sales go on fees !! i have friends that are webdesigners and they looked at the PPC system and said its a joke how high some of the fees are for one click, Google on one keyword is £2.30 and on google add its £0.43 !! ther killing sellers and unfortunatly i cant see it getting better...what with Royal Mail uppping there prices its all becoming unststanable for us..

I also sell on other platforms, eBay is the most expensive for me by a long way essentially driven by the shop fee but it is the one that is currently not providing the impressions or consistent sales conversion, so it's very easy for their percentage take to increase.

Has everyone else fixed this and not told me? my sales and impressions are still down.

Or has every one gone out of business and I need to close the door on my way out? 🙂

Can someone also please add my account to the report to be looked into . From 17th July overnight I lost 1 million impressions a day , something must be wrong

dave@ebay kat@ebay do we have any resolution in sight? Sales are past dropping of a cliff, they've now reached the abyss below and on their way to Oz! I know our business is not the largest on ebay, but it is still our living, and 2 sales a day with declining impressions over the past 6 months is not in the least bit helpful. What are we paying listing fees for, never mind what are we paying Promoted Listings for, what is going on with this site?!

Has anyone else had an ebay survey sent to them to complete? A general survey on perfomance and how they are rated also comparing them with other online platforms?  Lets just say I didn't hold back!

Not recently but I'd love to complete one.  I have had a "rate this transaction one" on my personal account reserved for clearing out my own stuff,  it was the first sale on that account all year, I imagine they thought I'd be elated with my one item sold.  And a second one for "how do you rate this return" on a change of mind return that the buyer had changed their mind again, decided to keep it and closed their case themselves ... 🙄. I did respond to both surveys which arrived within a couple of minutes of each other but how do you rate a return that very obviously never happened.

I had one sent yesterday with a few preliminary questions which basically was masquerading as 'we want to give you more funding at a huge cost to you that will cripple your business' type of questions.  I was to be paid £160 for the less than an hour phone call... yip you guessed it the call never came.

Whilst I'm here I've been on the phone to CS regarding these impressions and sales and was spoken to very rudely after I questioned their 'resolution' which I was told three times was to 'close my account.'  Like I've said previously we are paying for this level of 'service.'  Absolutely outrageous.

I've had the disappinting survey too. No places really for proper feedback. Plenty of questions where you have to select at least 1 when I couldn't. Like, which is these features would you like eBay to have, and I didn't want any as they were all things for them having more control. Such as the ability to create your own website via ebay, like Shopify. Imagine having a website powered by Shopify and eBay telling you what to do? Hmmm

I had the survey too - it was very nosey about my earnings on ebay and elsewhere 🤔 I'm sorry, but I've completed too many hoops, too many "we value your feedback" type emails, and too many, "we'll enter you into our prize draw" emails to know that NOTHING good will come of it except that it will benefit ebay and probably not me.

ebay and the shareholders must surely see that there is a problem with this site, and they must surely know how to fix it! The ONLY thing that will fix this site is more viewers and more sales for everyone! There was a 'glitch' early October 2022 when impressions and sales went through the roof for one day - it was like the good old days, when there were no restraints on search, and who would and wouldn't be visible, and Buyers could see all that was on offer. I want THAT back please ebay.

But that clearly isnt working for Ebay of ofcourse they would revert back - Ebay will only be concerned about their bottom line not whether individual businesses survive or fail as there are plenty of new accounts to take their place who know no difference.  Ebay know exactly what they are doing and Im a little confused at why they are solely focussing on "preloved" sales - sponsoring Love island and all ads are about vintage/2nd hand clothes etc so maybe thats what they re focussing on  Ebay need to find its place in the market against Etsy & Amazon.  For me Ebays reputation has struggled over the years and I think its become known for cheap chinese tat and small items and they seem to be trying to "rebrand" on TV for young 2nd hand preloved.

If you complete the survey there isn't a lot of options to leave comments but if you see a box where your answer is "other" at the bottom of each section click on it and it will open a small box and you can fit quite a bit in there if you want to make the most of leaving your views.

I tried filling in the survey. It is aimed at bigger businesses than me and like you found a number of questions had answers I didn't want to select and no option to select none of the above.  In the end I lost the will and dropped out of it.

just watched hayfrosells, clearly not our imagination.  I know i pay 2% promotions and after the fall on 18th tried 4% and my impressions "improved" but I cant pay anymore. Already paying shop fees and FVF.  I suspect this is what is happening to get more fees and last night looked at ebays share prices and quarterly statements and it talks about their  push on promotions but how they are continuing to focus on preloved market due to cost of living crisis, the irony wasnt lost on me.

Morning all... seriously why is this taking so long to fix?  It's been three weeks now and it's getting worse and worse.

This should be a top priority and any other industry there would have been serious consequences.  I know if I'd told my old boss 'Give me a month and I'll sort it for you' I would have had my P45 in a few hours... terrible service eBay and you are costing people their jobs/brands and God knows what else..
