Hi
We have been selling on ebay for over 10 years. Sales have been down since start of 2024 but its completely dead. Like we look at our stats from July to September and sales figures are less that what we are paying ebay for Promoted listings etc.
Although we have moved our inventory to Amazon and tiktok but wondered what has actually happened to our Ebay. It used to be aweseome but we now cannot even afford to list. Listings are sat there doing nothing even with promoted listings.
November has been our difficult month so far as with Zero sales i mean come on there got to be something causing this loss. Is it new so called AI.
Please share your findings.🤔🤔

People don't want big brother seeing and knowing how much they are spending.
Cash is harder to keep tabs on !

ChargeBack Dispute Compliance?
As I understand it, merchants get shafted by the customer and the bank together.

Perhaps it is time to sack this off then. I'm not old yet but I'm getting there and life really is short.

The way it would be sold to you is in its lightest form, ie all the positives. you would spend money using either your phone or a digital wallet, no more cash. Sounds easy enough.
They will say it stops tax fiddles and drug dealers etc, still sounds good.
Reality could be, your transactions now with a card are between you and your bank, a degree of privacy, but all your transaction details will go to a central bank, no privacy, everything you buy, where what, how much, for ever.
Some will say "so what", but it could all tie in with Social credit scores, think an expansion on Experian, imagine you eat to many sausages and drink to much Scotch, you are bad for the environment, in who's eyes? But that's frowned upon and down goes your score, if you are naughty in China now and get a bad social score your access to trains, buses, the library is restricted, be a goody and you get a free gym pass.
It's all out of your control, who decides the rules, who decides if you can go from A to B, have a read of 15 minute cities, it's well documented, part of the UN plans for 2030, this isn't conspiracy and i'm sat in the dark on my keyboard, it's all in public domain......do some reading.
Could it just be the easy version, or could it become the total version, your guess is as good as mine, i just like to observe these things as it's all out of our control, i can see good and bad in it to be fair.

Thanks, but don't keep us in suspense. At least give us the bullet points and save us a load of time watching videos. Some of us have busy lives, cleaning out the cat litter tray and such like.

So a government version of the tesco clubcard I will go back to physical cash at that point
To get back on topic re lack of sales . I am coming sadly to the conclusion that online retail for small sellers is coming to an end .

You're welcome mate. I've never had a problem listing different items all at once. If I list several similar items at once the first will do well, the rest forget it. There's a guy on here called Bitty Boy said that about a year ago. I don't think he was taken seriously. I think he was bang on.
