Categories hidden in 'manage active listings' menu

Has anyone else noticed that some of their shop categories have disappeared from the category drop-down menu in the 'manage active listings' page? See the attached screenshot (on top is the menu, on the bottom is our full list of categories as shown on the 'manage shop categories' page, for comparison).

From testing, it seems that categories with subcategories within them are being hidden. All the categories identified in the 'Shop categories' page as having 0 subcategories are still visible - 'Floating shelf brackets', 'Glass shelf brackets', 'Metal Knobs', 'Screws & Bolts', 'Ceramic Knobs' and 'Other'. All the categories that have 1 or more subcategories aren't - 'Cover caps', 'Shelf supports', 'Rustic hardware', 'Wood turnings', 'Hardware' and 'Trade quantities'.

Our shop is unaffected - all the categories and subcategories are still visible there - but on the back-end, we've now lost the ability to filter some 90% of our listings. I feel like it has to be a bug, because there's no good reason for this to be a deliberate change. I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this; our sister company, which also sells on eBay, has had the same issue.

Yeah me too, very annoying as i need to filter by shop catergory to edit listings or change buy it nows to auction format. Going to give CS a ring tomorrow morning

Yeah i've noticed this too - vey annoying. Hope its a bug they fix soon

There is an open ticket for this. Tech have identified it as a bug and currently working on it to resolve. I'll add all users on this thread to the ticket. Once I have details of a fix I'll post an update.

The changes to the manage active listing page are not good at all. Another update that wasn't needed.

Yes, happened over the weekend, I only have seven categories showing which I should have around 15-20.

I reported it but like most things reported on this site, it's a waste of time.

If you could please add me to this as its most annoying, I sell Vinyl LP and can not longer filter on any genre, or type....

why also has this filter been moved to the sidebar window on a web browser, this is surely used more that any other feature on the seller hub page, I really dont need a button to click on 'listings with watchers' or 'Status' 

be nice if we could have 'filter by categories' on a one click action again

I have the same problem, but alphabetically so any category before F is missing? Has this also had a knock on effect on sales as they have also stopped since this strange problem?

Hi All,

This issue has been confirmed as resolved. Tech have applied a fix and your list of shop categories should now be showing within the active listings page.   If this is still an issue please let me know.

They are continuing to work on it. Unfortunately I don't have a timescale on the overall fix. As soon as they confirm its resolved I'll update you.
