Active listings page changes

Why, why, why have eBay made pointless changes to the active listings page that were not necessary in any way and not only that, they have now made it much, much harder for sellers to update their listings and they simply aren't interested. I have spoken to them countless times about this and either they aren't even familiar with any of the changes or they just don't understand.  I swear the people that make these pointless changes for the sake of making changes have absolutely no experience of selling on eBay. They can't possibly have any experience of selling as they have made an absolute pigs ear of the active listings page.

Sellers can no longer type an MPN into the search bar to find a listing, you have to remember the exact wording in the title. So if you want to update the quantity for say "8mm sockets" but you type in "8mm socket" it will not find it!! For sellers who have thousands of listings how the hell are we supposed to remember the exact wording in a title for a listing that was first posted years ago??!!

If I have a couple of pallets delivered and then I have the invoice in front of me, I used to type into the search bar the MPN which is in my item specifics, the search would bring it up and I could then change the quantity. Simple. Not any more! That function has now been removed and you have to remember the exact spelling of a word in your title in order to find it. Even then you may have 40 listings with "hex socket" in the title so you then have to scroll down until you find the necessary listing. Bring back the MPN search!!

eBay are totally clueless when you try and explain this to them, it feels like I am the one trying to explain to them how it all works when it should be the other way around. Why can't they just listen???

Active listings page changes

I know it’s not an ideal solution, but it may well be the best you will get for now:

If you view your own shop, then the search feature at the top will get you the result you want.

For example, I searched for “40542” on yours, and item “285PC WALL PLUGS SET ASSORTED MIXED RAW DRILL PLUGS ANCHORS AND WITH SCREWS KIT” was listed.

You can then click to view, then click to edit the item.

Or now you know the item’s full title, (copy/paste) search within the “Manage active listings” section. (I would use this method. My browser – Vivaldi – gives an option to copy a link’s text, so I would have the shop search page open in a new tab, and copy and paste between.)

Again, I know it’s not an ideal solution, and it certainly doesn’t make up for the removal of this feature, but it may help speed things up for you.

Perhaps there is a tool out there that will automatically put the MPN into the “Custom label (SKU)” field? Then you can search that from the “Manage active listings” section.
