Updating the eBay app: latest version guide, supported operating systems & troubleshooting tips

We regularly update our app with new features and improvements, to provide you with the simplest and most secure experience when shopping and selling via your mobile device.

As part of our latest update, versions 6.191 and older of the eBay app are no longer supported by devices not using iOS 17 and Android 10. Earlier operating systems date back several years and are now no longer able to support the latest eBay experience.

To update to the latest version of the eBay app, please follow the steps below. If you’re unable to update because your phone is not using iOS 17 and Android 10, you can still continue to use eBay via ebay.co.uk on your mobile or desktop browser.

How to update your eBay app:

iOS:

  1. Delete the eBay app from your phone
  2. Open the iOS App Store
  3. Search for eBay
  4. Install/Update eBay

If you are unable to update to iOS 17, you can continue to use eBay via ebay.co.uk on your mobile or desktop browser.

Please note that the update may not work if you are using mobile data. In this scenario, we recommend that you connect to Wi-Fi and try again when you can.
