What happens when you try to sign in using the app? Is there an error message?
Are you using the latest version of the eBay app for your operating system?

Theres a few troubleshooting steps you can try with the App which usually resolves any issues:
Clear the Apps Cache
Clear the Apps Data
Force Stop the App
Check for App Updates
Uninstall/Reinstall the App

Same here can't log in tried different combinations of clearing data rebooting phone and re installing. I can log in via a web browser but not the app

Has everyone got Google play certificates? You can check in the play store under settings and about.
I have an honor magic v2 and it's temporarily lost it's certificate which honor are checking.

What version number of the eBay app are you using? If it is not the latest version, that may be causing problems for you.
If you are using an older operating system, you may not be able to get the latest version of the app. In that case you may have to use a browser to access eBay.

the latest version the play store has for my phone updated about 2 weeks ago it was working fine up untill a few days ago I had to sign back in and no go

Well I uninstalled found the previous version 6.172.0.1 and It signed straight in for me. Let it auto update with out signing out and it stayed signed in so there is something funny with 6.172.0.2 like it doesn't even try to sign in

Having the same issue works fine on the Internet but not on the app. When I attempt to sign in it says technical difficulties please try again later. I've uninstalled reinstalled cleared chache/data turned phone/wifi off & on but nothing works

This works but only if you restart your phone between uninstalling the app and reinstalling the app. Did this on my new Xiaomi 14T pro and all was good afterwards.

The other thing I noticed is that there is a terms of use message that comes up behind the user name and password which you have to agree to before you can use the app. It is obscured by the password screen. Cancel login and agree first then sign in.

I don't experience this. Just tried it again with a fresh Play Store download, app cache and storage cleared for the app, same error message.
I'm using a Cat S62 Pro
