Can't find 2nd ebay account

Hi all.  I have had an Ebay account for many years with a user name.

Last week I purchased an item as a 'guest' as I couldn't remember my Ebay password (on a new pc, so not saved) and was in a hurry.  Unfortunately, I had an issue with the item and needed to contact the seller, so I  had to create a new Ebay account (linked to the email I received confirming my completed Ebay purchase) .

I set up the new ebay account without creating a username, and used the same email address as my old Ebay account.  I was then able to contact the seller.

I have heard nothing from the seller (and nothing is showing in my emails - even though I requested my messages to be copied to my email address).  

When I try to locate the second Ebay account, the pc asks me to select which account I require.  I haven't selected my original user name, but instead I select my email address (as that's how I set the new Ebay account up).  Unfortunately, this then logs me into my old Ebay account, and so I am unable to look at my messages on the new account (or contact the seller agin, if he hasn't responded).

Please can you help me locate the 2nd acccount.  Thank you.

ps should I create another Ebay account to link to the purchse, but this time use a different email address so as not to confuse log ins?

You can't set up a second account using the same email address.   You always have to have a different email address for each ID.   You may have changed the ID on your old account instead.

If you click here, you can see how to get help with a guest account, so you can resolve the issue of your item. However, it is important that you identify the right details (email address), otherwise we won't have any visibility over the transaction to help you. 

If you managed to regain access to your usual eBay account, make sure you are not logged in from that account, otherwise we will keep picking up the details of the normal account and not the guest, which is what we would need.
