I've had a bit of a nightmare buyer on Ebay, messing me around back and forth about 2 items I'm selling. Anyway, they eventually bought another item - (live bugs) and asked me to sex them AFTER buying. The listing does not mention this service, but to be nice I said yes I would, but it's not 100% guaranteed. Now, I wake up this morning to find they have bought (and paid for) another version of the item from me (same 'product' just more in a 'pack' than the previous item) to ensure they get enough animals to have both sexes in the group, since it's not guaranteed, and asked me to cancel their other order.  It's well past the '1 hour' after them paying.  If they had been patient, and actually contacted me, I would have made another listing with the top up amount of bugs they wanted, with free postage, so they weren't charged twice, and no orders had to be cancelled. Now I understand if I as the seller cancel the transaction, this goes against my seller rating and I still get charged paypal fees? I'm not at all happy about this - I have asked the buyer to cancel the order themselves, but all I've had is a 'question from buyer' message, with her saying that she wants to cancel the order... again. I sold item to buyer, item got lost in postage so he asked eBay to step in and eBay ruled to his favour. Now, full amount from PayPal -  300GBP is refundedto him. But problem is that eBay is asking for 300 GBP for a redund that I clicked and paid. Now my credit card is charged with 300 GBP for a refund and 300 GBP I got from buyer is also refunded to him!? I have been selling on ebay for nearly a month now, i need to revise some items stocks and prices however everytime i do that it sends me back to sign in and then says i need to request higher selling allowances. So the problem is in my item category there arent so many sellers and the other sellers are constantly changing their prices for some reason and it becomes very competitve, now the competitors have dropped their prices significantly and i've not been able to make any sales since. I have tried to request more listings however i do not qualify. I've tried to call ebay and they are not open for calls, im not sure exactly what to do. It would have been better if ebay allowed new sellers unlimited listings for the first month simply because we are new and revise items alot due to newbie mistakes such as shipping or description or understanding how much ads to run etc. Can anyone guide me on what to do at this point?   thanks ... I wonder (hope) anyone can help as I'm not sure about this part of eBay sales process.   I've been selling my LP records off - all going well most of them.    But a around 10 were won by an customer in Italy - communication has been poor from them eventually hey asked for low cost shipping option - I looked into this and found a rate.   In trying to send the invoice to customer including shipping it was not possible as all the items had been sold via GSP option.   As he wasn't responsive or going to pay (as the LP's were all low cost pick-ups) I have cancelled the transaction - flagging problem with customer address.   Questions: 1. What happens next? 2. How long does it take and how do I check progress? 2. Do the final Value fees get reversed? 3. When will I be able to relist these items?   Many thanks ... View more

In mid-March I was advised to mave all my items for sale to the 'unsold items' list, as I was not going out to post. Now I'm worried about how long they will stay there. I am listing used clothes on ebay but it won't allow me to list them with 'returns not accepted'? The only option is to accept returns 14 or 30 days - i can see other sellers have returns not accepted so how do I change my preferences as there is no option under Site Preferences > Returns and Refunds.  Ive be trying for hours! ... Why does the displayed 'Amount' of my sales fluctuate from day to day when I've had no more sales? Recently I sold a couple of items for £3 each, and that is all that is displayed on my Selling page. However, one day I noticed it showed £5.99 as the amount and the next it was £6.01 Every time I log on I look and it often changes. Now it is at £6.08   This may be a very simple explanation but I fail to see how one transaction that has been and gone is now valued by eBay at 8p more than when it was carried out.
