When creating a listing to sell an item, eBay used to automatically provide, in the listing, pricing suggestions based on previous sales of similar items. The more detail in the listing, the greater the accuracy of the pricing suggestion. It was really helpful. But where has it gone?! What am I doing wrong/differently?!! Please help.....

Ever since the layout of "Prepare your invoice" page has changed I can't send an invoice or do combined postage, when I try to send it just says "we've looked everywhere, looks like this page is missing" any ideas, thanks

Hi. If a package goes missing, I know I can claim using the tracking number, but large letters don't have a tracking number so I know I can ask for a physical form from the post office. I don't fancy going to the post office just to pick up a blank form, what with the new strain of covid pushing me into tier 4. Also, you know, irresponsible of me to do so since it's an unnecessary trip. Does anyone know whether that form is avaiable online these days? I can't find anything on the RM website. It's really annoying that you can't put in a claim on the website without entering some form of tracking number, yet they don't give you one on the POP. Ta muchly.

Hi there....I posted two items, one on 15/12, the other on 16/12, both by 1st class "signed for". The one on 16/12, I sent "signed for", hoping it would arrive next day, as the buyer asked if I could send it quicker, even though the listing did state "1st class", obviously the quickest way anyway. I have kept track of both items, but Royal Mail are still showing the "we've got it" message, which seems an excessivly long time. I have messaged both buyers, asking if they have in fact received the items, but didn't sign for them, but have had no response from either of them. Can anyone offer advise in this situation, or do I just wait, and assume they have in fact been delivered? Many thanks.

Hi Im a private seller with about 250 listings. As Xmas and New Year holidays approach it may not be possible to dispatch within my usual listed dispatch time. 1 working day + 48 hours. I dont want to go into each item. Can i bulk change the shipping options or can i leave a seller note on the listing outside of my description where i have already left a note. Obviously not everyone fuly reads the T&Cs

I have listed my car on the site, as an auctioned sale. I have received a bid, that is satisfactory to me, and written to the bidder stating that I accept the bid and asking for paymennt, etc. The listing had an higher automatic acceptance amount, which I revised to accept the bidder's offer. Ebay do not show this, and it looks as though they will permit the listing to run until Sunday, which I do not want. Any advice, please? Ebay is unnreachable! Amazon is not and they both work offshore!

Every time I press the Invoice button nothing happens. Therefore, no invoice. Are you experincing any problems?

Had an item sell last week (older iMac). Buyer used Buy it Now. They have paid, but have been slow to respond to messages. It was collection-only and they asked if they could collect on Monday. Since then, Tier 4 has come into effect where we both live. Before this happened I tried to arrange a video call so they could see the computer is working ok before they collect. Today I’ve had a message along the lines of “yes send a video but we are returning it if it doesn’t work”. And they are asking questions they should have asked before committing to buy. I’ve just got a bad feeling about it. And we know eBay always sides with the buyer! This is a 9 year old computer. It has a few minor issues that I’ve described in the listing. But it’s working fine. Nothing to hide. Under Tier 4 restrictions I don’t think I should be meeting up with them and I definitely don’t want to deal with a return right now. It’s hardly essential business. So I have decided to cancel the order and give them a refund. Am I likely to get a defect on my seller profile for this? Tier 4 didn’t appear in the list of reasons for cancelling (!) but interested to hear of people have ever cancelled to due to bad vibes about a sale?

Hi I had a Buyer win an auction for an item for 99p but no longer wants the item. They have messaged me as follows: "I've realised that I don't need this after all. I'm happy to pay the cost of the purchase but don't need you to send it to me as I don't want it. Are you happy to accept an adjusted 99p payment because I don't need it to be posted. Really sorry to mess you around." Do I just send them an amended invoice? and what do I do whan it asks me to disoach the item? Thanks

Hi there I recently sold a PS4 on eBay. I accepted a best offer and waited for payment. However, three days passed and the buyer did not pay or communicate. I sent them a payment reminder and they did not respond. In the end I opened up an unpaid item case and after 4 days recieved a final fee credit. Once the case closed, I relisted the item and it sold today again on best offer. The PS4 has a couple of mild issues that do not affect the use of the console. I put "READ DESCRIPTION" in the title and clearly described these issues in detail. Upon accepting the offer, the buyer immediately got in touch and asked if the item was all working. I replied and told him yes except for the issues that were mentioned in the description. The buyer has now not responded and I know he has two days to pay but I feel his lack of response indicates that he may not get back in touch. Just posting to get the thoughts of the community. Should I message him and ask if he is still interested? Thanks 🙂

I can not list any new products. When I try to list this message comes up, It looks like there's a problem with this listing. Unfortunately, you can't list this item. When eBay manages payments, there are restrictions on certain types of items that can be sold. See https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/selling-policies/managed-payments-restricted-items-policy?id=5009. I have an Ebay shop for many years and have not had this problem before. All other aspects of the shop are working as they should. Even recent sold items are not able to relist.
