Why have my sales flatlined on Ebay? I have repeatedly tried to contact Ebay via phone for some direct answers as to what the hell is going on, but can't get to talk to anybody. We used to sell around 4K - 6K per month, but now a struggle to sell over 1K a month. So much red tape & greed is KILLING EBAY. It used to be a great platform to sell on, now looking elsewhere like Etsy or Shopify. What do YOU think where they are going so badly wrong lately ? they will lose in the end if they don't buckle up!

Sadly not news to us.
We are just waiting for a whistle-blower in ebay to give the goods and let the cat out the bag!
It will happen, hopefully before long.
Everyone in the same boat here, sales for us down like everyone.
No consistency in any views, sales, offers .
I reckon sales have dropped 8 times more than general ecommerce over last year.
The drop is well spoken about on these forums.
We are closing shop.
Just closed 400 more listings, it's really emotional and taxing considering the efforts we put in to invest in the service and products.
Over the last 15 years we have has about 30 negatives in all.
Good luck

It probably doesn't help that when someone comes on to your item pages, it has a banner right across the top of your item directing the potential buyer to visit someone else's bigger shop with thousands of items.

Used to sell 15 -20 items per day. I’m lucky if I sell one item now.
Been looking at other avenues to sell my items.

My Sales flatlined a couple of years ago, What was a great little business providing a good income for myself and my husband ( both retired ) dropped to nothing with so much hassle when listing all these silly item specifics that no buyer reads, I have stopped relisting now and will closes my shop very shortly, I still sell well on Etsy and that is where I will spend my time and effort,
Sad as Ebay was so good for so long but No more, I put a lot of time and effort into Ebay but there is no help or even interest in sellers anymore, Ebay should be aware without sellers they have no business,

In the same boat here, I have moved elsewhere.
Shop closing at the end of the month.
I’ve always enjoyed eBay until the last 10 months.
For me, and this is as a buyer and a seller, the actual user experience isn’t enjoyable.
Far too complicated, messy and time consuming.

Totally agree with you - my philosophy is spending a set time to ebay, for both buying or selling, once its up , then move onto other sites for either function.
( ive yet to see a new ebay process to save time, the laughable AI consumes more time checking than it was supposed to save - along with just not feeling 'right')
Following recent ebay issues , ive reduced my listings by a further 10% again this week.
This time will be used to create more projects on deserving platforms.
Buying has not escaped, communications and obtaining invoices being the newly added stumbling blocks.

@a45heaven a good productive discipline, one that I need to finely tune actually!
No more refreshing and tweaking, ending and sell similar.
Items that have gone through this process on here over the last year (or more) have sold within days elsewhere.
Just list, sell, repeat.
