According to ebay - "You’ll still be able to choose the carriers by going to Postage Preferences in your account settings. We recommend enabling all carriers for the most competitive postage rates."
I personally do not see why simple delivery should impact my sales. I changed my preferred settings in posting preferences to Royal Mail only. I opted out from Evri. You can opt out too. Just go to your postage preferences, find simple delivery option and click edit. Opt out from Evri.
Simple delivery will affect cheap items where sending it tracked is not a viable option. The options are to sell on platforms like vin ted or creating a set to get a better price.

and they also put in that if it suits them they can over ride your preference! If you trust e bay not to do that then you are naive.

How are people who need parcels collected supposed to use Simple Delivery?

And, if you choose to only have one carrier not two, for the buyer to choose from, the postage will be more expensive.!

I guess I'll be putting a little notice on my listings apologising for the higher postage and explaining why I would not entrust this sensitive electronic device to Evri.
Royal Mail and Parcel Force are the only couriers I have used who consistently get my parcels where they need to be safely. I'm not entrusting them to Evri.
Private sellers are already absorbing the cost of this silly buyers fee (which is a lot higher than private sales fees used to be, by the way) and now they're going to have to absorb this as well.
Just silly, what's the desire to make things difficult for private sellers?
