Just tried to do a return label via Evri. They quote £2.62 small parcel then go to order process and tick £2.62 and continue and it changes to £4.79 for delivering to the address (and not a premium address!) So the cheaper prices are for delivery to a drop off location not a home. Had to change to a Royal Mail label. So do we assume when buyers are selecting their shipping choice they will get a long list of options whether delivery to their home of drop off point? Or have Evri done a deal for one price or an average between £2.62 and £4.79? By forcing the Evri option sellers may have to travel to a drop off hub and buyers could travel to a pick up point. Very ecological and pro net zero not!

What was the weight of the parcel?

I've been wondering how Simple Delivery affects returns. Will the seller have to pay the same 'Simple Delivery' eBay price for a return label? Will the buyer be able to book a RM collection for a return parcel?
More questions than answers, I expect... 😕

between 1kg and 2 kg and originally sent via Royal Mail second class small parcel. When checking return label prices Evri was the cheapest option...until I tried booking. The price difference between delivery to home or a hub isnt getting much publicity. Yes Hermes/Evri used to and do now charge an extra fee to collect from sellers homes but charging extra to deliver to one was a new one on me.

Initially I wasnt too worried the buyer might have to drop off the Evri parcel as I wanted the cheapest return way as the return was basically a change of mind not covered but then had excuses of damaged and the classic 'smell' which can never be proven! When it then became over £4 I clicked the Royal Mail option which turned out simpler as no label requiring emailing etc. Sellers will therefore have to be careful how they can be fleeced for a return they have to pay for and not wanting a trip to a far off hub.
