Bank account change is taking too long

Hi, I've changed my payout bank account at 2.18am on Tue, Oct 22nd, UK time.

I then got a notification saying that as a precaution it would take 48 hours to be verified. These 48 hours have long since passed at time of writing (Thu, Oct 24th, 11.23pm).

I received 1p on my account on Thu, Oct 24th, 8:27am, which is "more" than 48 hours later.

But it hasn't gone back to eBay yet.

And I've found out that afternoon that it takes a maximum of 6-8 working days for it to be verified, the info of which I could not find anywhere at all. The person behind the online chat, Anoushka, was too ignorant to help, so can anyone here tell me, firstly, why on earth this is taking so long and, secondly, where exactly I can find proof that indeed it takes up to a maximum of 6-8 working days??

Please be clear with your answers, as I'm autistic and cannot read between the lines at all.

And please don't say "we understand times are difficult", "we're sorry to hear that, but..." or any rubbish of that sort, when clearly that's just part of a script. Such sentences make me throw up.

You should receive 2 microdeposits to verify your account.  It can take up to 4 business days to receive them.   Once you have received both you then need to sign in to 'Seller hub' or 'My eBay' and enter the microdeposit amounts in the same order that you received them in order to complete the verification.

Verifying your banking details

Using microdeposits

Alternatively, you can verify your account using two microdeposits (small payments) sent to your linked checking account.

Here’s how to verify your account using microdeposits:

  1. Sign in to Seller Hub or My eBay.
  2. Select the banner to verify your bank account.
  3. Select Verify with microdeposits.
  4. Once they’ve reached your account (2-4 business days), sign in to Seller Hub or My eBay.
  5. Select the banner to verify your bank account and enter the microdeposit amounts.

It can take up to 4 business days for microdeposits to reach your account, and we’ll email you to confirm they’ve arrived. The microdeposits will be withdrawn from your checking account within a few days.
