Automatic refund for a seller

I have just had a buyer say that am item has arrived damaged.

Reasonable, it happens. They requested a return an hour ago, ebay have already closed the case and soded with the buyer.

They havent stated the buyer needs or will send the item back.

They also said that it will come out of my ebay balance but the amount is still showing as avalible 🤔

Its all a bit confusing, I am only suspicious as the buyer is literally selling items (comics) simmilar to the ones I have sold them, om ebay.

Cheers.

Re: Automatic refund for a seller

Under simple delivery for private sellers part of the buyer protection is if the goods are lost or damaged in transit  the seller has no involvement in settling the claim - the seller retains the sale funds and ebay deal with the buyer by refunding them from ebay funds or denying the claim.

Sellers feedback is protected along with their funds.

The buyer has to open a case under the mbg  which is dealt with by ebay.

I find it odd that sellers would complain !
