I purchased an Ebay item that had the return option paid by the seller. I decided to return the item within 2-3 days of receipt of the item and I requested the return slip/QR code from the seller. I used that QR code to return the item via Royal Mail 48h tracking on 28.03.2025. The tracking showed I dropped the item at my local Royal Mail stop, but then it stopped on 29.03 when the parcel reached another town. I contacted the seller after about 10-12 days and they claim they have not received the item, which is possible. What should be my next step? Since this is a seller managed return, meaning I used the QR code they provided, are they not responsible for checking with Royal Mail? They purchased the return so they have a contract with Royal Mail to deliver the goods back to them. I kept the mailing receipt but I did everything I was supposed to do.
