Hello,
I recently purchased a used carbon fibre heat shield for my motorcycle from a private seller on eBay. The seller does state that they do not offer refunds, which i normally totally understand and respect.
However, on this occasion, since my order has arrived, I have learned that when the part was new, it would have come with 6 special heat non conductive washers that are required to fit the part to a motorcycle.
The part I bought didn’t come with the special washers.
I contacted the seller about it and their response was suggesting I contacted the shop they had originally purchased the part from. I did and the shop said no, because obviously I am not the original purchaser.
I have requested to return the item and am currently waiting for a response.
Any comments or advice?

Item is not as described "missing parts/incomplete.
Stating "no returns" doesn't mean anything if item is unuseable.

Did you open a not as described case, if not, what case did you open?

I requested to return the item as missing parts.
The seller has contacted me to say he will contact the supplier he originally bought it off and ask for the missing bits he has lost.
I will give the seller a chance to source the missing special washers.
If he doesn’t get back to me in due time, I’ll ask eBay to step in.

Make sure you don't let the case time out.

EBay can step in on the 18th. I the seller hasn’t supplied the washers by then, I will ask eBay to step in. Hopefully eBay will side with me and help with getting me a refund.

Ebay will definitely side with you. They will be expecting the seller to issue a returns label.
