EBay lying?

I have just gone to say my item hasn’t arrived and EBay states there is a Royal Mail postal strike!!! I’ve checked online and it states there are NO strikes….. are EBay lying?

There has been strikes with Canada post which this wording of postal strikes is likely for. However there are no current strikes with the Royal Mail so it does not apply here. I'll have this flagged with our shipping team.

Mmm, I've not heard of any strike,  a local one in your area ?? Even so,  if your item doesn't arrive after a reasonable time,  then open a case for item not received for a full refund.

e-Bay lying?  Probably not on purpose.

 

e-Bay saying something that isn't true through incompetence?  Very likely — it's probably an old notice that they haven't removed from when there were strikes.
