I ordered an item that was due for delivery on the 9 or 10th July,  by Hermes. Nothing was delivered, no tracking number was emailed to me, no trace at all. The seller has assured me it has been dispatched, but there is no trace of that happening. They keep blaming Hermes. Not unknown. Now the seller has stopped communicating. My deadline is tomorrow then I will ask for a refund. Is there anything else I can do? It is not a small amount of money. Thanks. ... View more

Hi, just wanted to check how many days during this pandemic you have to return an item if SNAD? I looked at the policy but it didn't seem to say how many days (as if you have issues getting to Post Office, you might want to know before buying/opening a case). I ordered an olive green linen shirt and I got a flimsy lime green viscose shirt. I contacted seller for a return and refund and he came back with the offer of 35% refund and I can keep the shirt.  I reiterated I wanted a refund and return the shirt and then he responded saying that he will refund the full price and asked for positive feedback.  He's already actioned it 4 days after I first raised it with him and used 'seller cancelled order'.  Is this a thing now as it's the second time it's happened (with another seller).   Is this the way people do business on Ebay or should I open a case against him for dodgy business practice? ... I bought a dress which was described as new without tags, and in the description was described as Brand new, never worn. It was in a bad state, faded, well worn and with food on it and damaged. I opened a return stating why and the return started and I had the usual info that ebay would step in if I had not heard anything by 17th July. The customer service I have received from this seller has been appalling. I feel a negative or neutral score would be more than justified to warn others, but I am reluctant as I assume they will just give me me negative in return which would be unjustified.   As I value my own feedback score, I am undecided on what  to do?   Summary - purchased two pairs of insoles from the seller. One was completely different to the other. Emailed seller to see what should be done. Very slow correspondence. Sent photo evidence as requested. Another 3 days before a response. Asked for a refund through Ebay. Sent both back, but got refund for only one. It has taken the best part of a month, significant number of email correspondence and finally taking it back to PayPal claims to finally get the full refund.   the amount we are talking about is only £2.74. The seller has over 8,000 feedback scores, so I don't understand they treated me with so much animosity throughout.   any advice would be much appreciated  ... View more

Hi Folks, I was looking at an item that was for collection only, but after communicating with the seller I agreed to pay postage costs. Unfortunately I pressed the 'buy it now' button instead of making him an offer (which would have included the costs for postage) and now I can't figure out how to pay him the extra we agreed. can't get past the automoated service on Paypal to ask anyone there. I can't arrange for collection myself as couriers insist on email addresses and phone numbers, which he won't be allowed to share with me as per ebay rules. Any thoughts gratefully received. ...     Hi,    I bought a hardback book at the end of June.  A couple of days after I'd paid for it, I got a message from the seller, who by this time had changed the listing, saying it was an eBook, not a hardback copy as the listing had stated.     I got in touch with him, pointed out that I needed a physical copy as it was a gift and he messaged back saying he would refund me but, of course, no refund has arrived.   I was due to escalate the case tomorrow so tonight I got a message saying he would accept the return and with a postage label.  He knows full well that, as I haven't got the book, I can't return it.  Also, eBay closed the listing so I couldn't download it from the link he sent even if I wanted to.   So he has my money, and in the message eBay sent to say the return was accepted, it said that, if I don't return the item, I won't get a refund.   How can I return something I haven't had?   He has, by his feedback, done this to a number of other people - what do I do?   Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.   Thank you in advance, eht. ... I bought a surgical fracture boot in January.  It has fallen apart - the sole came off and the velcro patch that holds a strap in place has also come off.   I've emailed the seller 3 times now with no response, and have followed up my original feedback.   Any suggestions please?   I have serious osteorthritis in both feet/ankles and NEED a boot in order to walk just a few yards without constant agony. ... I bought a new set of wheels for my car yesterday, after someone nicked my spare set from the back yard during lockdown.... grrrrrrrr.....   Anyway. I found this bloke through FB, and messaged him about them. He replied straight away with the ebay link. I won the bids, and arranged to go pick them up. All well and good. Got to his house, and paid him then and there as I hadn't paid him through eBay incase they were actually scrap, so I had the option of walking away and not waiting around for a refund. But the wheels were good, so I paid him and loaded them up. All seemed fine.   On the way home I got a text from him saying that "ebay are trying to charge[him] twice, so can [I] conrifm the order has been cancelled". My first thought is that if eBay are charging him, then thats something to take up with eBay, and not me. I've now gone through the My eBay section and I can't see any way to let ebay know that I have paid for and collected the item already. All seems a bit fishy to me really.   P.S. My dad had a similar experience in the early days of eBay buying a laptop. Seller cancelled before sending it out as he was asking too many questions. The police called him up a few months later to ask about the stolen laptop he'd bought off eBay.
