We have noticed a sudden decline in sales and since last week we are on Zero.
Has anyone else noticed this issue and is this related to any new changes by Ebay.
What happened to our once best selling platform.

Or it could be because you only have a very few listings that are hobby related and that people generally are struggling at the moment.
A massive trade war is in the offing and a shed loads of bills have just gone up. People are squeezed and are paying the most important things first. Let alone if there is any left over for extras.
Multiple people have reported sales down on multiple sites and not just Ebay.

I buy more often on amazon now a days as it is less more hassle like and also delivery is quite quick also much better than ebay.

Same as others have said, sales are dire since April.
Also as someone else mentioned, the viewing stats are terrible since April. It better pick up soon or the shop will have to be downgraded until it comes back to life.

That's the thing isn't it, why buy from a place trying to BE Amazon, when you can just buy from Amazon?!

You really think that Ebay is trying to be Amazon?
If anything, they are trying to be Vinted.
I just wish that they would be Ebay at the end of the day.

I agree with you, I don’t see the Amazon replication, maybe because I’ve always been in the collectibles categories.
I find the Amazon search awful, I know eBay’s has issues, for some reason there’s always a Trump coin in my results!

I was watching an online auction in Cornwall yesterday as there were some items similar to some I have for sale, the prices being achieved were often 50 - 200% more than the prices you could generally achieve on Ebay and that is before you add in the buyer premium of over 30% and very high shipping fees.
In the categories I sell in much of the issues / lack of views / low sales is down to Ebay and the decisions they have made.

Never known it to be this bad been on here for years hardly selling anything getting really low offers I have 800 items listed just the greed again free for the seller to sell but the buyer has to pay to buy which is making the item dearer, loads better when you paid a fee when item sold. made £7.00 last week, never promoted in my whole time on ebay now if I don't I don't sell anything. now they are pushing the private seller to promote, I sold an item a few weeks ago for £22 with the promotion fee and buyer protection fee they made £8 out of that one sale not sure what to do weather to carry on or call it a day

Same here not sure what to do have 800 items listed and made £7.00 last week been on ebay for years. Buyer protection fee has done this plus the delivery works out dearer for some items.

Really? It's just a transferal of where the fees are actually paid.
At the end of the day, the buyer pays anyway, whether it be charged directly to them, or to the seller.
So they add the fee, which makes the seller charge a little less to account for it.
Or they include the fee for the seller, where the seller prices higher to account for it!
Exactly the same, just a different way of going about it.
And any seller who does not account for fees is quite frankly a fool.
What made it farcical, was charging no fees. And fees need to be charged, or Ebay disappears.

Not worth Listing as no one is buying, May be because there are now fees for buying, , Think they have cut their nose to spite there face, Bring back charges for selling, and stop charging the buyers to buy, Things may get better, Heres hoping.

Same for me - been on Ebay over 20yrs and on the whole it has been good, nice little hobby selling bits and bobs, very straightforward with just fees to pay. Ebay have become really greedy and dictatorial. Everything is now so complicated - you can no longer choose your own posting method; what is this complicated business of paying for advertising and these campaigns - I don't understand any of it. For the last month I have not had a single sale which is unheard of for me. No-one seems to be looking or buying anymore.
I don't know what to do next quite frankly. I would rather pay an upfront fee like in the good old days than have to deal with all this nonsense. If things don't improve I shall have to quit for good and find some other platform. Sad after all these years.

In fairness, advertising is entirely optional. Plus, if you had a business account, you would be able to choose your own posting method and pay fees like "the good old days."

The buyer protection fee was a silly move by ebay, by not introducing this this would have been their advantage over other site by advertising clearly to potential buyers that it's free to buy on ebay!
I'm sure sellers on both private and business accounts have no issues paying selling fees but this is where they took advantage. The fees for both needed to be reasonable and the same. They need to be simplified to a set % for both, no added bolt on fees!
I can sell through professional sites more specific to what I sell for a flat fee of 10%.
I'm shocked at the decision making for a large company, half thought ideas, updates released without fully testing and simplified delivery was crazy! Let sellers have control of who they use.
Since Feb sales have plummeted and paying ebay more money for promoting is not the answer.
Ebay need to go back and advertise themselves through Google and not expect users too.
I don't think anyone from ebay does read forum posts because if the did then we would all notice changes and improvements for the better. With so many people having the same issues it is a platform issue however economy is also playing its part.
Keep head down and keep working everyone, things will turn round.
Ebay will not fail, it's changing with the times and will take time to re-invent themselves and for people to be happy with the changes. Unfortunately their approach to the changes made is questionable and it's costing alot of business sellers and private sellers loss of sales.

this is why a lot of us sellers closed there selling sites before the end of February and the big change over, people have no faith in ebay anymore,as they have lost a lot of sellers ebay is allowing the sites to be flooded by chinese fakes/copies what ever you want to call them .
due to ebays cash flow and there poor accounts they are keeping sellers funds as long as they can,
is there any truth in rumours that they are looking to franchise the uk market !!!!!,would paypal be the ideal company to take this on?i feel sorry for all the sellers that stayed ,being dragged along by a decaying company

Just off the phone to customer service and selling department, im told nothing wrong with account, nothing wrong with ebay. All they say is have you tried promoting. Why would anyone pay 14.9% selling fees plus their reccomended 20% advertising.
Specialist in selling team, literally had nothing to say to me nor could give any advice!
Waiting for callback from management but be suprised if this happens
How many times do users have to complain, all seeing the same problems and ebay in denial of any issues?
If problems are forwarded to the complaints dept, then by now the head of that department must surely be asking serious questions to other management within ebay as to what is going on with the platform for users? Which leads me to think, complaints are not being handed through the channels

Nearly 2 weeks without a sale for me now, I have been delisting and relisting with fresh photos but nothing, I won’t be paying eBay £30 for there shop next month that’s for sure!
