Re: New listings price not correct since yesterday

Hi,

This has happened to my listings now. I am a private seller and I have noticed today that most (if not all) of my listings now seem to have VAT added when I click on the live listing.

Is there any helpful advice for this? I noticed that sales had been very slow recently.

Re: New listings price not correct since yesterday

This issue is happening again. It caused a >50% drop in sales at the start of the month, went away, and has come back today.

On top of the notification popups that won't go away, I think I'll stop posting new listings on eBay this week and focus on Shopify instead.

Re: New listings price not correct since yesterday

eBay's Tech Dept does not seem to be keeping up with the failing system.

Re: New listings price not correct since yesterday

Hello! I’m new to eBay, but I see that this issue has a history... I’m also facing the problem where the price in the listing is £3, but the price the buyer sees is £3.60. Is there any solution to this? Or do I just have to accept it? Thank you

Re: New listings price not correct since yesterday

I had the same issue but managed to find out the reason, For the last few days, UK buyers will pay a £2.12  for the Buyer Protection fee. This is for the item I listed for  £34.99

Re: New listings price not correct since yesterday

I am having the same issue.

It clearly states that starting from Feb 4th as a business seller buyer protection is included for FREE for yourself and the buyer, the same protection without any additional costs.

The majority of my 700+ listing have being affected and it's killed my sales.

Customer service agents are very little use and even asked me if I'd like to close down my account!

Only private sellers should have the extra fees added.

Re: New listings price not correct since yesterday

My listings are exactly the same and items I am watching have also increased in price. Looks like this is not the first time this has happened over the years. EBay are really starting to get annoying, I also lost my app as my tablet allegedly no longer supports there app.

Re: New listings price not correct since yesterday

So there is a buyer protection fee been added, total Conn, they change it to free to sell with no charges then add a buyers protection fee that increases the  price for the buyer and reduces the chance of the seller to sell the item, this is not helping anybody if you can trust that seller, only people making money again is eBay who must have taken a dislike to losing money when they stopped fees for private listings. EBay just gets worse.

Re: New listings price not correct since yesterday

As per other posts in this thread, yours is intended and is part of the new fees for private sellers. This thread was for users who had a bug on their account. It was confirmed by eBay and our listings were showing with an additional 20% on top.

These are 2 completely different things. Ours was a bug, yours is intended.
