This problem has been ongoing now for over a month. I have contacted Ebay agent several times, each time told " We are aware of the problem, it will be passed to one of our technical team"
I have several items listed with Global Shipping, but when I click " Postage, see postage details" and change country from UK, it is still not showing calculated costs with customs duty tax for other Countries.
It just states " Check item description or contact seller for postage options. "
This seems to be affecting a large proportion of private sellers who are unable to sell internationally at the moment.
This comes at a time when sellers are already having big problems in selling due to the Buyer Protection Fees.
It is something we could well do without and really requires urgent attention.

Hi avagojoe, thanks for your post.
I understand where you're coming from, but we are aware of the problem, and we are working to resolve it as soon as possible. However, we don't have an estimated fix time. If you want, once this is resolved, I can post back here to let you know.
Thank you,
Marco

Thank you Marco
I hope it gets sorted out soon.

Still ongoing, causing such a nuissance. Ive opted out until it is resolved. Not good enough.

No. Not good enough. All we can do is keep contacting Ebay Technical Services til we get it sorted. Ebay and sellers are losing out big time on international transactions.

Hi Marco.
Thank you for your reply dated 6th March. The problem with Global Shipping NOT showing calculated costs to other countries is still NOT WORKING!
This problem has been going on now for over 6 WEEKS!! Can you give us an idea when it will be fixed please, as we all cannot understand WHY it is taking so long. Thank you.

Hi avagojoe, thanks for your reply.
I know this is not ideal for you as a seller, and I know the issue has taken a bit longer that expected to be resolved. However, as per my previous reply, we really don't have an estimated fix time. As soon as this is resolved, I will let you know here.
Apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused,
Marco

Hello, avagojoe
I have just become aware of this problem today after getting an enquiry from a customer in Greece. Became very frustrated trying to work out what the problem was?
Ebay seems to be dragging their feet a bit on this one, which is a shame as I
usually get a significant number of sales from outside of the UK.
With all the recent changes to interfaces, it is no wonder there is a muddle.
I suppose I will have to sit tight and wait for it to be fixed.
Good luck to all!

Im having the same problem i just had to cancel a sale because of this as i do not send internationally outside the ebay GSP. Any idea when its going to be fixed?

Ebay has become a complete shambles of late. Global shipping not working on top of inability to combine postage or send invoices to UK buyers. Either the introduction of the Buyers Protection Fee has been the biggest pile of do-do ever or this is a blatant attempt to disenfranchise private sellers. Not happy either way. Come clean or get your act together Ebay.
19-03-2025 3:37 PM
I totally agree. I am fed up with contacting Ebay and just being told the same answer over and over again regarding " We are aware of the problem with Global Shipping and will get back to you as soon as we have an answer " Well, just how long does it take to fix a problem? It has been over 6 weeks now since we have been unable to sell anything international via Global Shipping. This is totally unacceptable.
So I urge all private sellers to keep bombarding Ebay to get it fixed.

Hello Marco.
Why is this problem with Global Shipping taking so long to fix please?
21-03-2025 3:00 PM
Heh, same for me, some global shipping is still working on older listings, but newer ones are broken.
It's yet another crazy thing with eBay UK, like the crackpot 'buyer protection' thing which duplicates the protection buyers already had, and then adds a random figure to the buying price to really confuse everyone...
Is eBay deliberately trying to scupper it's UK operation by coming up with madder and madder ideas for how to really mess things up?
21-03-2025 3:13 PM
Maybe eBay's been taken over by Musk, who's fired everyone except some eccentric old man sitting in a shack somewhere in the Gobi desert, who cackles to himself about his latest insane ideas in between puffing on a pipe full of camel dung...

Hi melston2000 Thank you for giving me a laugh. I guess something we could all do with at the moment.

Hello, All!
Pardon the delay in responding, I am rubbish at time management.
So! No signs of the 'Global Shipping' functions having been fixed.
Saying that, one sale to the USA did go through just after I first posted here but I have no clue how that could have happened when everything else I have checked does not seem to be functioning.
If it is the case that eBay attempted to re-jig the 'Global Shipping' interface, and the coding is flawed, surely it is better to revert to the previous iteration whilst the bugs are tracked down.
Whilst they are at it, I am very irritated by the “Package size” fields that do not let us enter accurate dimensions. A lot of my items come under Royal Mail Large Letter size but I can only enter 2 or 3cm instead of the accurate 2.5cm or 25mm in thickness. This must have an impact on the costs for customers from outside of the UK.
Accurate package size and weight must surely be crucial for fair overseas shipping estimates/costs?
Also, I get marked down for “Reasonable postage cost” and I suspect that is all to do with the 'Global Shipping' and lack of clarity about who is charging what for what?
I only charge for my advertised, actual postage cost, never for packaging, but I still get marked down in my stats.
The site is awash with Terms, Conditions and Policies, 'Clarity' does not seem to be a priority.
To paraphrase: Not drowning, but waving!
Best wishes to all, wherever you are.

I am also very unhappy at the change and ebay customer support did not even seem to be aware there was an issue. spoke to person and was told someone would be with me in 48 hours so just had to reluctantly find a third party shipping quote but not happy with the experience.
31-03-2025 12:04 PM
Still not working 31st of march 2025 ??? how much longer until this is rectified and why didn't ebay feel like notifying users of a known issue.
31-03-2025 12:17 PM
This is getting beyond a joke now. I have spoken to Ebay again , only to be told the same old answer. " We will let you know when sorted " It really is not good enough. I can only state what I said earlier. The only thing we can do is keep reporting to Ebay this ongoing problem. WE NEED GLOBAL SHIPPING PROBLEM FIXED ASAP.

Hi, all!
It is still very difficult to understand what the actual problem is?
An order from Spain using 'Global Shipping' came through last night so I thought things were on the mend.
Relisted an item that I have put on hold for a customer in Greece but it still does not show the item being available for 'Global Shipping'? I am not tempted to offer my own shipping abroad, too many dodgy customers in my past experience and I am not about to become an expert on world wide taxes & custom fees, especially in these uncertain times.
Up until this problem arose, all my listing were available for 'Global Shipping', now it seems to be pot luck.
There was an intresting article on BBC 'You and Yours' this morning talking about recent changes on Bay; worth a listen.
Fingers crossed that this gets sorted soon.
All the best!
