Ebay App

Any idea what's happened with the App 🤔🤔🤔.

It's been working fine on my phone since they introduced the new version a couple of months back. Last few days haven't been able to send messages, so I uninstalled, when to re install and it says my phone isn't compatible.

Any pointers please.

You should be able to use the latest version of the eBay app using Android 10.

Make sure you have the latest version of Google Play Services and Google Play Store:

https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/9037938?hl=en

If you have an older version of Google Play Services or Store, that can prevent you from getting the latest version of the eBay app.

If after following the good advice from @eburtonlab you're still unable to use the app, please let me know what the version of your app is, and the model of your device with the complete number of its software version, and I'll take a further look no problem.

Still unable to download the app. 

My phone is a Sony Xperia 10

Until last week it was working fine on the latest Ebay app but then was unable to reply to messages. Nothing to do with Ebay's dealing outside the platform rules.

I removed the app, tried via Google Play store to find app again but it keeps saying my phone isn't compatible, it was last week and previously but not now 🤔🤔🤔🤔.

Could you please confirm the software version of your phone in full as well please? Also, can you confirm if you still have the old app in your phone? If so, could you please confirm the version of it? If you don't have any eBay app on your phone, and you're unable to download it, could you please upload the screenshot of the error you get when you try to download it?

I removed the Ebay app that had been working until recently. 

When I search Ebay.co.uk ot just Ebay on Google play store, this is what shows on my screen 🤔🤔🤔🤔. Every other sales platform comes up but not Ebay 😂😂😂

Tech has just shared an update on this, and they believe that your current software version doesn't support the latest eBay app. However, they were not able to confirm as the software version number you provided seems to be wrong. If you could take a look again just to confirm if that is the actual software version, that would be appreciated. I did a quick google search, and if you click here, you can see how to see your software version on a Sony Xperia. Once you find it, could take a screenshot or photo of it, so we can take a further look for you?

I'll get the 10 year old boy next door to help me with that 😂😂😂😂.

The new app has definitely been working on this phone though, until the other day.

Just to give feedback on this issue. I never got around to asking the young lad next door to help me with this but yesterday, out of nowhere, I had a pop up saying 'Download the Ebay App'.

I downloaded it and it's working fine now. So it wasn't an issue with my phone, I knew that anyway as the new App had been working fine before, but all seems to be sorted now and working fine.
