What happens if I list item with both postage and collect in person option

Hi  I want to list some items which are large and bulky so I would like to offer buyers the choice of having them sent by post or collecting from me. 

If a buyer chooses to collect, when they go to the checkout to pay for the item, will the delivery charge be removed? 

I can't find information on Ebay that explains how this works.

I would disable offers because that gets complicated,  but you are right, when the customer goes to checkout they choose which option they want and pay accordingly.

You are welcome.  Just one other point, if the buyer chooses the wrong option at checkout, you need to cancel the sale and relist with just the option they wanted. 

You do not want to be posting an item where the buyer chose collection, or allowing collection for an item where the buyer chose postage, which is one of the reasons for not accepting offers as that often seems to go wrong.

Have the same issue , the buyer has already paid  for post and they are only down the road so can collect ,  is there even an option when they pay to collect rather than post ?

As post 4 above..... cancel the sale and start again (with the buyer's agreement obviously!)

But there is no option to pay *upon* collection (cash on collection has been verboten for some time now....)

And , when a collection item is sold , the buyer has to pay through ebay and the ability to swap collection address, phone no. details etc, is only available *after* payment.
