I assume I’m not the only one who received an email this morning telling me that from 15 April the so called Simple Delivery will be the only option available for private sellers when listing most items.
What are people’s view on this?. From what I’ve seen whoever designed and named it Simple has lost the plot.
Putting the Evri option aside for one moment ( because where I live they are so unreliable) nothing can be simpler for me than me buying my Royal Mail postage via its App. I use Royal Mail 48 for everything which is fully trackable and offers a good amount of compensation, plus I know I am charging my buyers the right amount for the size of the parcel.
When I looked at the simple delivery options the suggested package sizes were ridiculous and the cost even more so, so to then have to start trying to adjust these does not make things easier for me at all
Am I missing something.

Yes eBay are claiming prices will be 20% cheaper … rubbish … I take mine to PO , what can be simpler than that ? And they get weighed and right postage charged .. I send 48 tracked , no problems .. bye bye eBay … after 20 years …

No.
I used to give ebay the benefit of the doubt that they were just trying to become more efficient, more profitable and more competitive with other online sellers ; vinted, amazon etc etc.
I have reluctantly come to the conclusion that they actually do want to be rid of private sellers. 😒
Along with a load of other people on the boards, I won't be selling here again.
I shall miss it......

I worked it all out months ago, warned my buyers from Jan what was coming. The have banned Action Man from here because he posted a link which confirmed it was all planned at least 6 months before free selling started in October. Somebody is on the radio today BBC but being deaf not much use to me. Yet the 💩 hit the fan 🙂
