Since SD has been introduced, I have noticed a drop-off in low item (<£10) sales on ebay.

At first I thought it was my pricing, so I adjusted that. Nope, nothing selling.

So I put the same items at the original price on an alternative selling platform. 

And they sold for the asking price.

So - are buyers not using ebay for lower value items, or is SD putting them off, or is it both or something else?

The drop-off in sales appears to be linked to the introduction of SD...

Depending on the physical size and weight of your items, SD may have little effect.

It's more likely the Buyers' Protection fee, which adds 4% plus 72p to the price of all your items, irrespective of price, which is causing the drop.

That is good feedback, thank you 🙂 I had not considered the Buyers Protection which came in around the same time. Most of my items go via Royal Mail Small Parcel, so as you say it's probably not SD.

I have left my items alone whilst ebay sort themselves out. My sales conversion rate droped from 2.8 to 1.3 since  April.

I adjusted price previously for BPF. My postage rates have not yet changed to SD, but i did change from free post to buyer pays, so the price effectively went up.

I did a few checks to see if i could find my items in search listing. I found one item on page 48 of basic search for "used scarf". Admittedly (hopefully) buyers might use "used blue scarf" but who is going to scroll through 48 pages?

I decided that i would reduce price on stuff that has been on for a long time, have no views, will not be worth selling if SD doubles my postage price and do a sell similar on them. 

I have lots of views and some sales. The only down side is sell similar is changing items to SD if weight and size is not added, and alot of my items don't seem to have an option to enter it. So i had to change them back manually.
