Right the new rules from February 4. If I still use Royal Mail 2nd class without tracking, although there’s a tracking number with proof of posting which tells me when item is delivered. How will I get paid?

You will get paid when the service you use shows a status of delivered, or after 14 days if it does not show delivered.

Funds held for Private Sellers .

Untracked mail, sellers funds are held in " pending" for 14 days. 

Tracked mail funds are released 2 - 14 days AFTER " considered successful delivery"... whatever that means. The system is required to " update" showing  "delivered" status. eBay state this can be as early as 48 hours AFTER " successful delivery"  

If the system ( for whatever reason)  does not do this ( no matter if on the main postal service website shows delivered or even if the buyer leaves feedback ) and as long as there is no " claim" made by the buyer, your funds are available to withdraw after 14 days ( the same as untracked) 

However all " pending" funds held can be accessed to pay for eBay postal labels and/or returns. 

As an example... buyer bought day 1, you post day 2, 4th day delivered AND the system updates on that day "Pending funds" should be released after 48 hours, and available for you to withdraw, so this would be approximately a wait period of approximately a week - the longer the confirmed "delivery status" , or if a buyer makes a claim, the longer the wait for your funds.

Excellent, thanks for the information. Be interesting to see how private sellers feel about this! Strange this has happened such a short time after introducing no fees & paying out after 2days!
