I just spent 45 minutes carefully typing up a detailed and accurate item description, then accidentally pressed the predatory AI writer button that is perilously close to the format bar, and in an instant all my work vanished to be replaced by a pathetic AI generated spiel.
No option to revert - the work is lost.
On top of that, even though I'm listing similar items, Ebay annoyingly defaults to their own lucrative global shipping even though it wasn't my selection on the original listing, meaning I have to laboriously type in my own preferences each and every time.
At every turn, Ebay is trying to manipulate me. It doesn't want me to pen my own descriptions and it doesn't want me chose how I post items.
Ebay is forgetting its place. It is just a platform. It should serve us - do our bidding - provide services we want - not dictate to us.
If Ebay wants to act like Amazon then it should hold all the stock we are selling and arrange for its delivery itself. While they rely on us to do all the work - sourcing and storing stock, listing it, posting it - they should provide much better support.
