Option to send invoices disappeared

Option on sold listings to ‘send payment details’ has disappeared and I’m unable to send people invoices for combined orders like I normally do. I did a live chat with customer service, but I don’t really think they knew what I was talking about.

I have buyers waiting to pay, but are reluctant to pay for the entire postage cost in one go and have me refund due to the amount of money they would have in limbo.

anybody else having the same problem? Anyone at eBay able to confirm it’s being looked into so I can tell my buyers?

I can’t send invoices.   I have buyers ready to pay but want a combined invoice.   Anyone else know when this will be fixed please.

As someone mentioned ebay may have created this issue due to the more complex situation by introducing BPF.

If so, they rushed the BPF out without compensating for the problems it will cause, such as invoicing for multiple items.

And of course, it can be tracked back to their greed in introducing BPF in the first place, probably couldn't wait to start pocketing all those BPF's that were so thinly veiled as additional buyer protection needed when buyers purchase from private sellers, but was nothing of the sort, complete lie.

I am having the same issue, not having the option to send a combined invoice to a buyer who has purchased multiple items. Sort this out quickly please ebay, I have multiple orders currently effected.

@daba967426

@tim_arcadia

I'd suggest taking a look at the following thread

https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Seller-Central/Merging-private-seller-listings-to-reduce-buyer-fees/...

That's currently the only known workaround, to the best of my knowledge.

I would advise following the screenshot posts as it would be the only proof you have.

They don't want to fix it, it might even have been part of the plan

What have folks taken as the work around solution?

Cancel order ?

Or Refund ?

Option to send invoices disappeared

I have refunded post for some buyers of multiple items and emailed everyone that best bet is pay for the items and i will refund in full.  its taken ages to do.  Some buyers have not responded at all.

OK, thanks for responding   - have you had reaction from buyers yet?

I can imagine your items lend themselves to multiple items being combined in the mail.

BTW have you noticed on the Refund  process how your funds are divided between the actual item and Postage, even when you are just refunding the Postage element?

Thanks

In exactly the same situation. Just finding eBay incredible frustrating at the moment - their own help solutions do not give the right information about sending invoices!!

thanks - yes they are nearly all 'return' bidders/ buyers and know i will always refund any over payment of post and ive been selling to some of them for over 20 years.  Yes, the small items i sell are 'one post charge only' - 85p 2nd class so if they buy one or 20 its still 85p.  There are some new bidders who havent responded at all which is more worrying.  I phoned ebay today and the agent said that ebay are 'now sending invoices for me' thats why i cant send any.  The buyer then chooses post and label..  im really confused, this cant be correct?

Yours is the second post I've seen today that says eBay CS are telling people that eBay now send invoices for you.

If that's true it's incredibly misguided.

How would they know what discounts you plan to apply?

& also a third party issuing an invoice without authorisation from seller sounds like it may be entering straight into fraud territory.

Hopefully they are doing it.

Will make this bull*bleep* far easier to shut down with that kind of proof.

We both have the same kind of customers it seems.

CS are not very reliable, unless you get Dublin, and thats according to Mentors too.

Ebay invoices don't recognise multiple items in a package , and will charge compounded postage - i cant figure out why ebay want sellers to waste their time sending refunds, although ebay do hold inflated postage for a short time maybe?

But even if a buyer gets a refund, as ive found on my buying account, the feeling is that all sellers will be having a corrupt postage on combined items, and such will be avoided in case a refund is not guaranteed, and as such the buying price is not known, should no refund be made (they are not compulsory).

Why Oh Why ebay?????

Doesn't that make the workaround which I've been linking a whole lot safer for sellers?

The one you keep saying I shouldn't have to post.

Playing their game you lose. So play a different game.

For my part I have decided not to list any further items until the situation regarding sending combined invoices is fixed.

Thats corrrect.  The agent mentioned simple delivery, labels and they buyer gets an invoice from them and they 'choose' - The reason im asking is that deffo the case  (?) is because i have the 'sending invoices is temp. unavilable and we are working to fix it etc' message on my ebay which contradicts what i was told by CS.

I dont think sending refunds is very good - buyers dont want refunds sitting in limbo for ages while they process.  I also want to add a note maybe to a buyer?  A message of thanks, its important.

@aquitania015

Was the CS agent specifically referring to the sales you need help with or in a future tense sense?

I know Simple Delivery exists for clothing category but am unaware of it coming online for anything else yet.

& sorry, not ignoring your question just trying to work out your current circumstances.

Thanks,  yes, the agent advised me in the current tense, refering to my question -  "Can you help please,  i am unable to send invoices to my buyers. The tab that used to say 'send payment details' had been replaced with 'cancel item "

The agent advised me that these are new changes and they (ebay) will now be sending invoices and thats why i couldnt send one.   I asked about giving post discount, how would i do it?  The agent advised i refund the buyer.

I really hope this isnt what ebay are doing, i would like control w/ invoices

Okay, specifically what kind of items (category wise) did you sell?

If it's clothing there may be someone else that knows about it. If it's a different category it's something new or they are lying.
