Option on sold listings to ‘send payment details’ has disappeared and I’m unable to send people invoices for combined orders like I normally do. I did a live chat with customer service, but I don’t really think they knew what I was talking about.
I have buyers waiting to pay, but are reluctant to pay for the entire postage cost in one go and have me refund due to the amount of money they would have in limbo.
anybody else having the same problem? Anyone at eBay able to confirm it’s being looked into so I can tell my buyers?

I think Ebay are going to lose a lot of private sellers (perhaps that's what they want) and a good number of buyers too. They don't seem to care either. I can't understand why this fiasco hasn't been picked up by newspapers or TV. I know several people were going to contact the media but haven't heard if they've had any response.

As I see it, Ebay have evidently made it much more difficult to continue to be a personal seller if you have more than the odd couple of items to sell - delaying payment to two days after confirming delivery, no invoicing capability, send everything tracked or wait at least 14 days for payment, allowing Ai to work out postage that doesn’t allow for packaging weight etc, no customer service response to personal seller’s queries - i could go on!
I am still selling off a large part of my record collection, i am fully well aware of UK and HMRC rules regarding ‘side hustles’ or selling limits and update them yearly on what i sell - i don’t really want to change my account to a business seller account as i never really envisaged being a business, but all the recent changes (and impending simple delivery update) has made it very difficult indeed to keep using this site if i want to continue being a personal seller - i’m sure business sellers would welcome that many personal sellers are being forced off the site but many many of us are also buyers and this will surely start to affect their sales and analytics if more buyers are leaving because its more expensive to buy off personal sellers now - its ebay shooting themselves in the foot i feel - its all very messed up!

As we thought all along since invoicing faultered eBay were never going to fix this, It was never borke in the forst place, everyone new where they stood and had thier own control, if eBay wanted to make more money they could have simply raised sellers fees, like others have said they seem to be hell bent on getting rid of private sellers and guess this will be the final straw for many, been on ebay around 25 years and pretty much all I sold I spent back via eBay on other things so guess thats thier sales will be affected also! Will be taking a break to see how this pans out (not very hopeful) and maybe try other platforms, good luck everyone with your chosen paths, maybe see you on the other side?

Yep 🙁
The money I made from selling my husband's old stuff was mostly spent back on ebay (on stuff for me !😁👍)
We have no money to spend here now, so no more treats 😢, and so less sales for the (mostly) business sellers I bought from.....

The ability to opt out is not going to last much longer:

I think she's refering to not being able to opt out (of Simple Delivery) following your previous post.....
