And the joy begins....
I sent an order Second Class Signed For on Monday.
Buyer received it Tuesday (the power of stamps 😉 and left +ve feedback.
RM did not scan on delivery so funds are pending for 14 days.
Chatted with 3 different eBay agents (needs specialist to look at issue) and told that payment will be released 14 days after shipping as it has not been shown as delivered. I was advised to contact RM and ask them to mark item as delivered. ROFL.
It seems that eBay do not regard +ve feedback as proof of delivery. And have no plans to do so.
If I did not have a lot of stamps to use up, I'd send Tracked 48, but need to use stamps.
Very frustrating experience.

It seems the CS agent hasn't read ebay's own announcement that feedback will release payments under £10 from sometime at the end of this month.

Yes, payments for items over £10 sent untracked will be held for 14 days. But from the end of February payment for a single item of £10 or less sent untracked will be available 24 hours after the seller receives positive feedback.

Wow that's amazing. Thanks to the Ebay suits for allowing this. 😅

Why would anyone leave feedback before receipt of goods...eBay CS inventing more situations that have never happened in an attempt to justify the abysmal treatment of long time sellers on the platform these very sellers helped create and fund.....
The mere fact that eBay will hold funds for up to 14 days is a complete betrayal of the improvements that they have been promising for years and labelling it as a 2Buyer Protection" measure is an outright lie.....
2005 i signed up, 2025 is the year im dumping fleabay.....

You can still use your stamps to pay for tracked 48.
Apply the appropriate amount of stamps, totalling the price (or more) of the tracked 48 and ask the the post office staff to print out a label, you wont have to pay as you have paid by using the stamps.

It does actually happen. Back in November I sold two collectible dolls (for about £200 each) about a week apart to the same buyer, who left glowing feedback for both purchases several days before they were delivered - luckily the buyer was still happy with the items after they were delivered!

Oddly enough, it does happen occasionally , by mistake! (I've seen it happen myself)
Which is why ebay, in the past, have never accepted feedback as proof of anything at all.
So this new 'under a tenner, feedback accepted as proof of delivery from 28th Feb 25" is a bit of a climb down ...
I'd imagine that ebay have calculated the odds of 'mistake feedback' happening to an actual non-delivery case is really tiny. So that soaking up the less-than-a-tenner-refund once in a blue moon is worth the smug feeling they've got from giving a tiny concession to private sellers!

You can't use stamps to pay for Tracked services. Stamps are exempt from VAT at the point of sale and therefore can only be used as payment for Royal Mail's VAT exempt retail services; i.e. anything 1st Class, 2nd Class (including Signed For) and Special Delivery. Tracked services are subject to VAT so stamps cannot be used as payment for them.

Although it will not get eBay to release your funds any sooner if the postie didn't obtain a signature on delivery for a Signed For item you can claim a fee (postage) refund from Royal Mail here.

Excellent - I didn't know this. Will make a claim and no doubt get more stamps to use 😉

We all know that eBay are doing everything in their power to hang into sellers payments to make the maximum monetary interest they can. I hope they've recruited more staff for their customer service department because their phones will be red hot.
