These guys are pursuing me for a copyrighted picture I used in error. I have removed and deleted the ebay listing but Copytrack are saying that the image still remains on the Ebay web server and is visible via a public url. The problem is I have no way to delete it from the Ebay webserver and they will not delete it on my request either - I am stuck!

In the footer of the messages you have received from them it should state the registration address of "Copytrack". What country does it state they are registered in?

It says Germany....

They're extortionists; just ignore any further messages and don't pay a penny to them.

We already have but they want more money now as they say that the image is still on the ebay webserver even though we have ended the item and deleted it. Somehow the image is still accessible via a public url. Ebay are refusing to delete it!

They will; they're extortionists. They are not a legal firm nor are they any sort of official copyright enforcement agency.
Just ignore them.

Thanks, have you had any experience with them?

There is a lot of information online that seems to indicate this is not quite what it seems. I'd have a look via a search engine at the experiences others are sharing on Redt, Tpilot &c.

I have no experience with them but a quick Google search told me everything I needed to know.

Thanks, I have looked at quite a lot online. I am just concerned that I have used a copyright image and also made one payment to them. I am not sure if ignoring them will work now....

Who do they say owns the image? Have you done a reverse image search on it? That may tell you who owns it.
A Google search on Copytrack found an article where Copytrack were chasing someone who had a legal right to use a photo. It's full of useful advise. There's a link below.

The only parties that can enforce that copyright are the copyright owner or a representative appointed by them. Copytrack are almost certainly neither.

What do you expect them to do if you just ignore them? If you keep engaging with them they're just going to continue demanding money.

You replies seem to imply that Copytrack won't stop contacting you. How are they attempting to contact you - via eBay Messages or via your own external e-mail address? If it's the former then add their User ID to your Blocked Bidders List and make sure that the "Don't Allow Blocked Bidders To Contact Me" option has been activated. If you do that then you will not receive any further e-mails from them via eBay's website once you have added their User ID to your Blocked Bidders List.
In the event that Copytrack are contacting you via your own personal e-mail address right-click on one of their messages and when the list of drop-down options appears click on the one that says "Block Sender" and any further e-mails they attempt to send to your own personal e-mail address from that point onwards ought not to make it into your inbox. Delete any that you many have received so far, then go to your Deleted E-Mails box and click on the option to delete everything in that category.
Once you have taken the necessary course of action to stop any further messages from coming through just forget about them. If you are concerned that they may try to take further payments from your card as a result of the fact that you have already made a payment to them then report the card to your provider as having been lost and they will put a stop on the card and send you another one. However, if you do decide to do this you would need to delete the card details from all online accounts where it is registered and then update your card details with those of the replacement card once you have received it.

Thanks for that advice.

Completely ignore this advice. You need to establish through questions, question and yet more questions if they have a genuine case. "who is your client?", "Can you provide evidence that you are acting on behalf of the client?" "How am I breaching copyright?" . You should not answer any of their questions until they have proved evidence that they are acting on behalf of the image owners, they have been instructed to act on behalf of the image own, and they can provide evidence the company claiming ownership do actually own the image.
If there is a genuine case to answer then simply blocking all forms of communication could make things worse.

Scum of the earth
and eBay’s out of order here too
