Today, in a departure from the post 4th April norm, I actually had to deal with a successful auction bid!!
I received the normal email which showed the bid value, the BPF of £1.01 and a postage charge of £3.00 instead of the £1.00 p&p shown in my (pre 4th April) listing. I checked the order details and it showed the item price the BPF of £1.01 but no postage costs.
The buyer paid.
I checked out the invoice and that showed the item price, BPF of £1.21 and postage costs of 87p (2nd class Royal Mail) - selected by the Buyer.
The item has now been dispatched and I await with bated breath see what I actually receive - and when!

..after no views for weeks on end then one then nothing more 🤣
long gone are the days when you used to get a few a week

Sadly, I now feel I ought to buy something just to see what it looks like from the other side of the fence - I'm not sure what implications there are, if any, with the Buyer being able to select the dispatch costs! What options are they given? And why did the BPF change?
Trouble is I can't make up my mind as to something cheap (with a totally out of proportion BPF) or expensive (where the BPF is a relatively insignificant imposition)!

I get email notifications on new listings for a few items so if there's one that I really, really want I 'may' bid. Like you, just to see what it's like.

I reckon you might have to give it away........ although I suppose even then the buyer wouod be screwed for at least 75p BPF.
