I have sold a central heating  oil  tank as collection  in person only.  The  buyer  has paid, and the  funds  are  in my  bank account.  This was nearly  a week  ago,  and after I sent two messages  asking for  a call  to  arrange collection,  I have  had  no  response. I managed to obtain the buyers phone  number from  eBay,  but  my  call went to voice  mail, and I left a message to call my number, which I gave. I still have  had no contact.  I have  sold a few items  on eBay  as collection in person only,  and I  have  never experienced anything  like  this  before. eBay tell me that  the  payment stays  in my bank account. I am  considering  a second chance  offer, but  if I  have to  wait thirty days, it will  be  probably too late. I would  like to  know  where I  stand. If I  cancel  the transaction, do I have to refund the  buyer. What happens  to the  eBay  fees that I have  paid.      ... View more

I have a live classified advert for a caravan, and several people have contacted me who want to come and see it. How do I give them my phone number? Ebay has confusing help about this, saying in one place that exchanging phone numbers is disallowed to prevent fraud, and in another place that you can allow potential buyers to see your phone number in Settings. However, I don't want all and sundry to see my phone number, only those who make a genuine enquiry via "contact seller" (email).   I replied to one potential buyer to give directions to come and view the caravan and noted my phone number, to be told by ebay that this wasn't allowed. Other similar enquiries have gone dead (I tried to reply to one to find that their return email address 24 hours later was nnnnnnn@deleted). What's going on? Can anyone help? ... View more

I've been selling on ebay.co.uk for almost 20 years, mainly low-value items which I have collected. My current feedback rating is 100%. A lot of the things i sell are old negatives which I list on auction starting at £1.25. For buyers in the UK I charge 90p first class postage. When I look at negs I've listed today, I find ebay's managed payments system seems to have hijacked my 90p listing and for UK postage is showing "£17 expedited delivery to the UK". Obviously wrong, and in fairness the £17 figure is only showing when I open my listing. Buyers are (I hope) seeing £1.25. On another it's showing £10.26 for postage to Portugal, where I would have charged £1.90 air mail. It's a nightmare and I've decided, reluctantly, to pull out of selling outside the UK. It means I'll earn less, ebay will get less commission on my sales, and buyers in Europe and elsewhere will be deprived of the opportunity to buy from me. I purchased some refurbished wheels recently, the wheels had been nicely refinished and I posted positive feedback based on the appearance.  I had to wait for some new tyres and then to get the tyres fitted and the wheels changed, so a couple of weeks after I got the wheels, I took them for fitting.  I was called by the technician when he'd fitted the first tyre and he showed me that the wheel was buckled.  The same was true for 3 of the 4 wheels!  The technician eventually managed to balance the buckle out on all of the wheels, but warned me to watch for a 'slow leakage' and for uneven tyre wear on the buckled wheels. The other issue that was pointed out to me was that the clamping face of the wheel had been left painted, and this needed to be removed by the technician before fitting the wheel and should have been removed when refurbished. The wheels are now fitted, and I'm keeping an eye on the tyre pressure and wear, but I'd like to warn other buyers about what to expect from this seller since he seems to have a large range of wheels for sale.  Can I change my feedback from positive to negative weeks after I bought the wheels/ ... As a seller, how do I set up a permanent exclusion list so that I'm only offering goods to buyers in the British Isles?  At the moment I'm having to create an exclusion list for every item.  It says 'go to My Ebay Site Preferences' to do this. I have already addressed the administration of Ebay.uk several times! ! ! The constant presence of the administrator in my folders due to which the pages are displayed incorrectly and I cannot perform any action. Now the system itself tells you about it in the screenshot !!! My pages on Ebay.com and Ebay. Where always open normally. Are there so many maniacs in England? Foreign intelligence agents? Or system administrators on Ebay.uk are yesterday's janitors and the heads of Ebay.uk are yesterday's port movers without experience and qualifications ??? I do not know who this administrator is a maniac with an obsessive desire to follow me on Ebay.uk or an agent of some special services, but his persistence is amazing !!! I can only sympathize with the rest of the Ebay employees. If this is a maniac - one day he will choose a target among the employees (I'm sorry); if a secret service agent - someone will get to know what they called "Novichok" or "Starichok" (polonium in a cup of tea for you).
