how to give my phone number to a potential buyer

I have a live classified advert for a caravan, and several people have contacted me who want to come and see it. How do I give them my phone number? Ebay has confusing help about this, saying in one place that exchanging phone numbers is disallowed to prevent fraud, and in another place that you can allow potential buyers to see your phone number in Settings. However, I don't want all and sundry to see my phone number, only those who make a genuine enquiry via "contact seller" (email).

I replied to one potential buyer to give directions to come and view the caravan and noted my phone number, to be told by ebay that this wasn't allowed. Other similar enquiries have gone dead (I tried to reply to one to find that their return email address 24 hours later was nnnnnnn@deleted). What's going on? Can anyone help?

As it is c.assified ad  you put contact info on listing or message any interested buyer.

You  cant do this with auction or BIN.

tell them to click on 'contact seller' in the listing and take it from there.

you should have been able to put your phone number when you created the listing,

try revising it

But I only want to send my phone number to someone who sends me an email
about the caravan, not for it to be seen by anyone in the world.

I am (perhaps unnecessarily) nervous about webcrawlers and the like
harvesting phone numbers. I get more than enough scam and phishing calls as
it is.

Can I just send my number in a reply to an enquiry?

you can't send your number to individuals, you can only add it to the listing
