I was selling my vehicle on eBay received an offer and accepted it. I thought then it was a scam has no feedback on the account. But the person message asking to contact so I sent phone number. Anyway the seller shows. 3 Asia men. Still not thinking one asked about the tow bar then spare wheel. Of course unknown to me one opened the bonnet and was looking. Anyway test drove and on return the bonnet was steaming. Over heating I thought. But why! On opening the bonnet oil was everywhere even in the water coolment. They told me it’s not worth anything now. I was heart broken. The guy goes on o say he wanted the bumper complete front etc has his same vehicle got damaged. But I felt so intimidated thought my car was just worth scrap money. He offered me 400 pound. Car was up for sale £2400. To end it I took 400. Yes I know what a dumb **bleep** I was. I have informed the police once I checked my cctv on doorbell. Gutted. Just be aware.

Just looking for some clarification on this as I'm getting sort of mixed messages when I look for answers. I'm a private low volume account and rarely actually use eBay anyway, especially for selling. However recently I was selling a vehicle on an auction but due to events outside my control I had to cancel so now I'm getting a defect. Ebay states that the seller dashboard thing will put you below standard if your defect rate is 2% or above of your total items sold (This will be the first thing I've sold in years) which would mean that my defect rate is 100% which is unnerving and could obviously result in my account being restricted or banned which I don't want. Although it also states that there needs to be 4 or more unique buyers reporting defects. Am I right in thinking that as this is basically my only sale in the evaluation period that I'm protected from any restrictions because I've had less than 4 people reporting defects, or do I basically need to somehow sell 49 other things in the next month to stop my account getting banned? The seller levels page says "Transactions with one or more of the defects listed below" implying it could be "either or" the 2% or 4 buyers. I tried messaging customer service but they weren't exactly that clear or apparently even really reading my messages, they did end up telling me not to worry but I don't really think they even understood what I was asking. It seems incredibly harsh on low volume sellers when sometimes things you can't really control can completely throw your stats if that is the rule. Thanks.

I bought a phone with on 31-12-20 from musicmagpie. It went faulty at the start of may so i contacted them directly and asked about returns and refunds. they agreed I could return it to them and sent me the return label etc i could process it as a return on eBay due to a technical error. they have received the return and authorised a refund of £701.99. the seller says they have sent the refund 3 times but I've not had it. they say I need to contact eBay as it's their problem but I can't get any phone number or email address to contact them! im loosing sleep now as I think I'm phoneless and loosing £700 ! what can I do !?!?!

Why do so few ebayers put the dimensions of their items in the description?! It is infuriating. Such a simple detail, that everyone will want to know, yet they leave it out. Do they like getting endless enquiries about such a simple aspect that they should include in the listing? Is it just laziness? The amount of times, as a buyer, that I have to message a seller just for dimensions defies belief. Sometimes, I just wont bother, even if I like the item, and wish to bid on it. What is it with these sellers?

Backstory: An account not used for a while was offered three free listings. So, naturally thought I'd go for it. Part way through the third listing my account was frozen because eBay decided my account had been hacked. After much hoop jumping the account was freed up and I could list again, but... Created a listing (on .co.uk), hit the ‘List with displayed fees’ button and end up with a pic of a kid in an anorak on page ebay.com/n/error. I have tried turning it off and on again. I have tried from two different browsers. I have cleared cookies and history. I have tried a listing from scratch and one from a saved draft. I have tried all combinations of the above. Surely eBay can manage a better error message than the above? Any advice welcomed. It's been like this for over a week now 😞

i have purchased two sale items which are not fit for purpose ! first after contacting seller (drew a blank ) was able to fill in negative feedback. second after contacting seller (drew a blank) unable to fill in negative feedback because the item has been withdrawn. ebay make it as difficult to complaint directly. they shield seller -and allow them to trade and supply rubbish items. customers lose their monies . this is a disgrace .

Hi If I delete paypal as a payment method on my listings does it get removed straight away and also how do I add ebays new payment method. I have just realised Im paying the increased ebay fees and people are paying via paypal so im paying those fees as well. Thanks.
