I'm in the UK, has anyone had any problems with buying from the USA lately? I bought two items a few days apart from the USA around 20th March this year and to date I've managed to track one item to Germany that now has a German tracking number. The other item has made its way to France and now has a French tracking number! I don't know what on earth is going on. Anyone?

All I can advise, is that if the tracking doesn't resolve itself, and the item doesn't reach you , and a reasonable time passes the item's last estimated date for delivery, then proceed this way.
Go right of the item purchased, and from More Actions select.... I Have Not Received My Item.
If you are not fully refunded within 3 days, you must escalate the case on day 4 or within 30 days from opening the case, and eBay will step in and force the refund.
Do not close the case early for any excuse or promise the seller may give, and do not forget to escalate.

Many of the major carriers use superhubs for parcels etc before they take a final route to you. So for example I suspect your parcel to Germany has or went to Frankfurt? and the French one has gone via Orly in paris. Some of it will be about capacity on loads hence why the pallets of parcels are consigned like this.
Also don't forget that around the 20th March was the fire near heathrow, so parcels would have been rerouted as a contingency.

Sorry,
Thanks for the swift reply but I was looking to see if anyone has had similar problems with receiving items from the States and if they found a reason.

Aah, okay, it's just that I've never had anything from the USA go through France or Germany before. I think the fire at Heathrow would probably explain it. Thanks for that.

Currently got same issue item from US going Germany when I'm in the UK. Spoke to ebay who is unsure why it's been sent there hoping it still will arrive to me.

What are the names of the Couriers in France & Germany as you may be able to contact these companies Websites to see where your items are etc.?
Also have you contacted the Seller to see what information they have on the Courier's they used?
