Hello everyone, i have been trying to purchase a vape pen and e liquid but, keep getting the verifymyage thing stopping me, i understand why this has to be done, its just at the age of 59 i'm struggling a bit.. i haven't got a passport or a credit card the only other thing i have is a picture of myself which i'm not completely happy with sending to god knows who.. i have tried various sellers and contacted them for help and advice but, to no avail... hope someone out there can help.. A week ago I received an email from ebay asking if I had accessed ebay from Barton Chester.i had not and changed my password and secret question and messaged ebay about this. i was told fifteen attempts had been made at my password ,they had not managed to change anything and my Paypal account was not accessed. Today I received another email from ebay again asking if I had accessed my ebay from Barton Chester. and was advised if nothing had been changed to change my password and no further action was needed!. I again contacted ebay by phone about this I was told I could not do any more than change my password and secret question. I am concerned about this any advice will be appreciated. I ran Malwarebytes and Total AV both free versions nothing was found on my PC. Is there any point in using a different browser? I am using google chrome. It is disconcerting, when trying to search ebay.co.uk for items listed in pottery, porcelain, glass, for website to default to ebay.com, which has different search options - does not include any of the date-line ceramics. Disconcerting because it drastically reduces chances of potential buyers finding items listed in those particular UK categories. (The UK site appears to work okay for several other categories, and the refining options under pottery, porcelain, glass can be found when approaching via inside links, for example from items being watched in that category, expanding search to all items in that same category.) I've found two listings for RTX 3070 graphics cards at around £500-650 which are, it says at the bottom, only selling a photo of the card. Obviously many unsuspecting people will miss that. One has about 20 watchers. This is a known scam.  Yes the seller really does send just a picture, according to a recent article in Tom's hardware. EBAY does not seem to allow this type of activity to be reported.  The reporting categories I have found are pre-written and inflexible. hopefully I have missed something. Thanks ... View more

Now that eBay is handling money through managed payments will they be answerable to the FCA? If they are will this mean that they must have an official complaints procedure with independant arbitraition and also will they have the same responsibilities/liabilities as the credit card companies who also don't actually sell anything? ... I cant get intouch with ebay to tell them I have  shown a receipt of my  returned item via the Post Office. . I have tracked the item and it was received on the 21st January but ebay return page wont show its been received and keeps telling me to send it.    Reason for return Doesn't work or is defective   I had to pay £14.15 to return it at my expence.   I posted the return slip as requested and tracked it to show it was received on the 21st Jan.   The seller has not responded to my emails.   I am so annoyed to find there is no way I can contact ebay to inform them that the company has not responded to any of my emails and have infact taken off the item from my purchase history.     I am out of pocket and this item was a birthday present to me from my daughters.  I am so annoyed as whatever page you try to find to be able to tell ebay about this co  I have no way to contact ebay to tell them .  ... A clothing seller is falsely using my business address and VAT number. My business does not have an ebay account. We are a very small light engineering company with only 5 employees, none of whom sell clothes on ebay. We are getting a stream of returns to our registered office address. I am also very concerned about the misappropriation of the VAT number. I have reported the matter to the police and HMRC. I wrote to eBay about the matter, via a message from my personal account and also in a company-headed letter to eBay head office.
