Anyone else received an ebay email asking to provide a HMRC statement & Colour ID? From the ebay managed payments team.
Yet the email is titled 'Current Account Details Required' and is not addressed to me personally.
I had one and was massively suspicious because, as pointed out, there's no personal identifier.
However, it does also appear in my eBay messages.
Its no good forwarding as 'spoof' because, unlike paypal who notify you of the email was genuine or not, eBay do not. They respond automatically to say it 'could' be a scam, but don't confirm either way.
I'm surprised eBay hasn't commented on here.
Can't have my account being frozen but can't risk getting scammed either!

If the e-mail is only in your e-mail account and does not also show up in eBay Messages when you go back to your My eBay page then I'd say it's more than likely to be a scam. Don't click on any links in the message, report it to spoof@ebay.com and then delete it from your inbox.
I wouldnt touch that with a barge poll and dont click on any links just delete it, hope this helps.
