unable to list

I have been unable to list an item since 17.15,yet can move around eBay okay,anyone else experiencing this.

Have never had this problem before and list most days around this time ?

Yep,  you are not alone,  slowly but surely others are reporting the same.

 

A technical glitch, so hopefully, this will be resolved soon,  try a little later on,  these ' complete' site shut downs do not last long !

Hi, Can't list now for an hour,no doubt eBay will soon be transferring money to me,to make up for lost business !!!!!     I have four items to dispatch,even though they have all gone !

This was reported to tech yesterday afternoon and its being worked on to resolve. Once they provide an update on a fix I will update the thread.

I have been unable to list for 4 weeks now. The latest contact with ebay customer service say that the tech dept are aware of the problem. Given the posts here, they may be aware, but when are they going to do something. Are there any suggestions how to actually fix or get around the problem.

The initial issue on this thread was resolved. From following up you had contact with customer support yesterday. Have you been able to list since their contact? If not have you tried listing from both desktop and app?

Thank you for your reply. The issue has not been resolved, I still get the
'listing tool is not available right now' message at some point in the
listing process when using a template or trying to create a listing from
scratch.
I only use a desktop for operating my ebay account. I am afraid that I am
of a generation that uses a phone for speaking to people and nothing else.
This has been going on for a month and I need to get back to selling on
ebay if the problem can be resolved, or look elsewhere if not. I would be
loathed to do the latter as I have been with ebay for around 18yrs, but I
have stock that needs clearing.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @yonder-otter ,

 

The agent you spoke with yesterday in customer support logged your account for this technical issue which is currently being looked into. There is no further update at the moment. As soon as there is I will let you know.

 

I understand you have mentioned you only use a desktop but if you are able to use the eBay app as a workaround you could try and list from there.

Hi @yonder-otter ,

 

Tech are currently working on this issue. Are you able to try again to list from your end? If you still encounter the error message can you screenshot it and copy the url from your browser ( address bar at the top of the page) and send it to me here.

Thanks for your efforts, I have just been able to load a listing. Its only
a trial so I will have to cancel it, but all good so far.
I will do one for real shortly and keep you informed.
